My Baby (at Least One Just Like Mine) — Mustangs ROCK! They look cool, sound cool, and are HUGE bang for the buck! Everyone should own one at least once in their life.

Pros: SOOOO much fun to drive on a twisty mountain road!! Sounds awesome!

Cons: I wish I would afford an 08 convertible......I just paid this one off!!

Lots Of Torque — I do not care for the interior, the seats sre uncomfortable and you can't recline them. The outside of the car is great-pure muscle!

Pros: nice in the summer with the top down

Cons: not a good winter car

Amazing Car, Extremely Fast, Insane. — I absolutely loved this car. Mine had about 5 to 6 grand invested, which really made the car what it was. Very impressive acceleration, handling, everything. It was a Steeda Stage 2 without the body. Tons of fun.

Pros: Very fast, very sexy, extremely loud

Cons: Just one, had the engine replaced from blowing the motor

Pros: Everything! Especially the sound

Cons: gas milage isn't great but is that really a con?

Beautiful Vehicle But Not Nearly As Powerful As First Glance Makes You Think —

I purchased this Dark Shadow Gray Mach 1, based on the limited availability of the model, coupled with the fact that it had the same DOHC 4.6 litre engine as the Cobra, without the supercharger, but had ram air with the functional shaker hood scoop. Of course, the ram air is only partly true, as most of the intake still comes from the fender well as in all other Mustangs, and the shaker hood scoop, while functional, just brings in part of the air. In any case, the engine is a high winder, as found in overhead cam, versus overhead valve engines. It winds freely but the torque doesn't seem to kick in until you hit about 5,000 rpm, which left me feeling rather cold about the power. I was used to the pushrod Mustangs and the low RPM power curves, so maybe I was just disappointed in the lack of low end power, that would have been better satisfied by the Cobra with the supercharger, since that does produce gobs more low end power. I also noted many of the Mach 1 enthusiasts were retrofitting superchargers to their cars and thus were ending up with the proverbial "poor man's Cobra". Fit and finish were good, the paint job was about as fine as I have ever seen on a Ford product. Glass like and flawless. The black leather interior was nicely done and the bucket seats were comfortable. As always, the back seats are fine for a short trip for kids and small adults but not for any long hauls for anyone else. The five speed manual gearbox was relatively smooth, although a six speed would have been a lot better. All in all, a nice vehicle, but it should have had more power, more low end torque and maybe a longer production run. The two year run of the car proved it perhaps wasn't as popular as it should be, as many sat on dealer lots, and sold for many thousands off the MSRP as dealers deep discounted them to move them out.

Plenty Of Power And Yet Is Ready For So Many Mods. — Great acceleration, handling, good breaks, aggressive body style with an engine tone that can make anyone have to double take.

Cons: Small trunk space. Door frame stops at bottom of window. door windows seal meet with weatherstripping.

Driver Side Rear Suspension Sits Lower Than Passenger Side — I loved it until the rear driver side suspension sits one inch lower than the passenger side. When looking at the rear end - the vehicle looks sloped (driver side is lower than passenger side). I took it to Bramview Ford in Brampton, Ontario and paid to have the shocks and springs replaced. This did not fix the problem and the dealer told me it was acceptable (within Ford's specificaitons). The problem still exists. The car had 55K and was 37 months old when I took it to the dealer.

Everyone Should Own A Mustang Convertible At Least Once In Their Life !! — I think everyone should own a Mustang and/or convertible at least once in their life. I have loved this car as it has provided some great travel memories. It has even hauled its fair share of things with the top down. The motor is solid, steers well, and is even great on snow and ice with a few bags of sand in the trunk. Overall a Wonderful Car!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It is incredibly fun to drive, handles very well, looks great, and highway gas mileage is really good.

Cons: Not exactly a family car unless your family is two, low to the ground which may be hard for some.

Mustang Gt — Stick shift most fun to drive, since most cars are going to slap shifters without clutches Ugh! Easy and cheap to customize and parts are easy to find! Either you love Mustangs or you don't. Used ones are cheaper on personal property taxes.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Mustang GT from the original car manufacturer! Fun to drive, good looks and wont brake your wallet. Came out to compete with Corvette and Camero came out to compete with Mustang! Mustang parts cheap and easy to customize for personal looks!

Cons: Can use as a family car, but hard to get in and out. People complain everyone has one.
