Good To Haul And Travel With — Acceleration is sometimes hard to control but braking and handling is great. After 6 years of having vehicle finally neded new transmission. Exterior is solid green while interior has tan cloth seats and all electric. Gets okay gas for a truck and not high mantenance. Fun to drive and looks great

Pros: Great to travel with and easy to drive

Cons: None

Ok For Some, Not For Others —

i think the car is very cute, even for a sedan and the color is nice too, although the paint quality of awful and chips away if you so much as bump your bumper with the shopping cart a little too hard while loading up groceries. i got this car when my daughter was just too tall for me to get her out of the carseat in the back of my little 2 door saturn coupe. i wish i would have thought ahead more, because now that i have TWO kids its a pain. it simply isnt big enough for a double stroller and there is no way to fit one of the carseats in the middle (where its safest) and still be able to fasten in the carseat by the door or completely block your vision in your review. it does get great gas mileage (although still not as good as my old saturn)and would make a great family car for someone without very small children or for a teenager and friends. it rides very low and is very easy to curb check or hit something in and your talking major under damage if you do. i slid on ice and hit a rock and from far away you can see a giant dent underneath, although you cant see it up close. overall, cute car, cheaply made.

Pros: cute, nice colors, rides well

Cons: cheaply made interior, cheap paint, too small for carseats

I Love This Car — The Focus is built like a tank. I wrapped my first Focus around a tree and walked away without any bumps or bruises. I like the Focus cuz it's a fun little car to drive. Responds really well. I put a short ram air intake, short throw shifter, lights, and a sub box and stereo. More mods comming soon (hopefully). And the best thing, amazing on gas!!!!

Pros: Gas mileage, quality, fun to drive, responsive

Cons: hard to find performance parts cuz it's not an import HAHA

Awesome Little Car — Performance was a little weak with these cars, however, handling more than made up for the lack of horsepower, I could take sharp turns with a recommmended speed of 35 going 65 - 70 mph easily, building materials were adequate, typically what you would expect with a pricetag of about $13,000, these cars are very sharp looking and there's a huge aftermarket for customizing it to better suit your style. Great gas mileage, I averaged about 28 mpg city/highway combined, could've gotten better, but I always had my foot on the gas peddle, hahaha. Overall, a great car, the only complaint I had was the lack of power.

Pros: handing, appearance, gas mileage, feels very solid in any driving conditions

Cons: horsepower

Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec 5dr —

Although it only has the 1.6 Zetec SE engine with 99BHP it is surprisingly swift, provided you do not change up too soon - 4th Gear is needed below about 55mph on a flat road. This is down to the unusual combination of low weight and highish gearing. Braking is about average - antilock is standard with EBD. Handling is excellent with good steering feel. The trade-off is a firmish ride and some roll-rock at very low speeds (the zetec version has stiffer suspension). The car has done 83,000 miles and has been very reliable. The only unscheduled items that needed replacing were the brake discs, the starter motor (under warranty) and the driver's window regulator. I judge build quality to be above average with no major problems and only minor trim creaks - the electrics could be better though. It is easy to forget that when the MkI Focus emerged in 1998 it had radical styling - its very familiarity makes it difficult to criticise. I personally think the shape has mellowed into something restrained but still eye-catching. The interior is less successful from an aesthetic point of view, although there is no denying its ergonomic excellence and space-efficiency. Front-seat comfort is poor for taller drivers, though. Ownership costs are reasonable for the class of car - servicing and repairs are cheaper than average and I am currently getting 42.4mpg (British) on a diet of A/B roads and town driving. Overall, it is great fun to drive but also very forgiving. Like many modern cars with independent rear suspension, road noise is an issue at higher speeds. I would recommend it to anyone - except those who want to stand out from the crowd!

Pros: Handling, Reliability, Cheap to run, Practical.

Cons: Road noise, lack of equipment

Lots Of Potential For This Li'l Hatchback — Performance - The ZX3 gets up to speed at a decent rate and stops when I need it to. It handles like a dream even at high speeds. Hoping to put a 2.3Duratec w/6spd trans which will improve acceleration and overall power. Build is great no problems there. Looked too plain when I bought it so I've modified it a little. Cheap parts. Great on gas (about 32-33 MPG when I'm cruising 25-28 MPG when i'm running it hard). Very low maintenance aside from keeping it clean. Any car is fun to drive if it goes 100+. The ZX3 does... but shuts off @ 110.

Pros: cheap parts

Cons: not fast enough stock tuned

Ford Focus Rs — I bought this car in 2003, was one of the first ones (limited edition 4500 units for Europe) available. It was amazing, the handling, braking, overall performance... May just need 4 wheel drive to be able to compete with an Impreza or a Lancer Evo? May have been nice to be able to choose the colour though...

Pros: almost everything

Cons: consumption, tyres price

Ford Focus 03' — Even though you see more and more Focuses everyday, it goes to show that they are great little cars. They run well, affordable. My focus is 5 year old and I have never had any problems. It runs smoothly accelerates at a descent pace. I have had no major problems.

Pros: runs well

Cons: an ecomomy car that is nothing special
