Focus Ztw Wagon — Nicely -equipped wagon for what it is. Good performance out of the 2.3 Duratec 4-cyl engine (bigger than the stock 2 liter). Unfortunately, i just rolled it in thesnow the other day, so it's probably a goner. Looking forward to my next vehicle...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Performance

Cons: The seats

A Fun Car To Drive Around Town, But By No Means Is It A Sports Car — Performance was not so bad considering the gas mileage it got. Acceleration was on par for a compact car. Handling and chassis rigidity were excellent for its era. Styling-wise it is still one of the most visually distinctive cars from its time at any price. Very fun. Unfortunately, it had awful tires from the factory. Convenient, spacious, safe, and relatively fun to drive, all at a low price point. If you're looking for a cheap, fun, and functional car that is 5 to 10 year old, the Focus is you. Good options to look for include the PZEV 2.3L Duratec motor and ABS.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun to drive, functional, and relatively inexpensive

Cons: Very limited aftermarket potential

Cheap, Affordable Fun Car. — The Focus is not a bad car, overall, but is in need of many improvements. It is a bit slow, and doesn't corner the greatest. I am slowly getting it to the next level in order to make it a mild performance machine. I have added a cold air intake, racing plugs/wires, and a header. Cams and a new fuel rail will soon follow.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Good fuel mileage

Cons: It eats connecting rods like there's no tomorrow...mine is on its fourth set.

I Am Pleased With The Handling And Mileage Of The Car. — i like the handling of the car, mileage is the best thing for me. although i encountered a lot of problems with the car because i bought it second hand, i would still prefer to use it on a daily basis. looks could kill.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: mileage is very good.

Cons: bought it second hand, so many problems.

50/50 Shot That You Will Like It — The car drove really well. It had good acceleration and drove well. The roomy inside was great and I did love the size and handling of the car. However, the transmission and electric ignition coil went at 200,000km (130,000miles) and then the catalytic converter went shortly after. I had to junk the car. Also, it rumbled VERY loudly when driving.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Good handling, interior and performance

Cons: Way too many things broke down on me

Could Be More Fun If It Is An Awd Car, Competible To The Subaru Wrx (not Sti Version) — Acceleration & Brake pedals are quit sensitive. For a little car like the Focus, it has quit a bit acceleration power. What I love the most is the handling and turning range. I can get in the most impossible parking space or have fun at the back road corners.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Easy and fun handling

Cons: Poor back seat and truck space

My Little Ford Focus — Good city car, and a good car for short commutes. Not one for long drives. Mileage so-so, good clean appearance. Will need repairs from time to time, as it is not built for hills and NE winters. Basic transit. Good first car for new drivers.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Good basic transit

Cons: Lousy mileage, not built for NE winters, nor long drives
