2003 Trailblazer - You Can Call Her Cris-tal' — My car is amazing! Its good on gas especially for an SUV, it rides like a caddy. and it is very roomy. Maintenance ist expensive either and about the only downer I have seen is the fact that the radio doesnt have a repeat button.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: Everything

Cons: no repeat button on cd player

2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer — I have the 5.3L V8. Iove the power for a smaller SUV. I also love the third row. I think the suspension should be a little tighter or my shocks are just worn out.

    Pros: 5.3L V8

    Cons: Soft Suspension

Piece Of Junk!!!!!!!!! — So much for buying a newer car with low mileage! I bought my trailblazer with 38k miles 14 months ago. I have had to put in a new front differential mine was so bad when they replaced it that I couldn't even get a core credit for my old one. The mechanic said it was the worst design ever, and to save my reciept he was sure there would be a recall. That cost me $1700.00, and just got that out of the shop last Friday and my service engine light will not go off. It used to come on sporatically and I have paid several times to have it checked saying my gas cap was open so who knows what is wrong with it this time! I also have the ticking noise in mine. So to say the least I owe another 4 years on a car that I can't wait to get rid of? Any offers??? haha!

Owner for 1 years, 2 months

    Miles Driven per Year:13,000

Love My Trailbalzer — Have had this SUV since 2008. Have added a K&N air filter, got rid of trash can on back of exhaust, reprogramed spark and in summer will get 17 to 19 mpg on a trip. Very little maintance expenses. This has been a great car. 238k plus miles and still runs and looks great. I am very meticulus with up-keep, if it needs anything, it gets it asap. Gonna drive it till the wheels fall off.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Has been a dandy.  verl little money spent on it.

Cons: Just wont pull the same as my suburban.

Safe Family Suv Sold — This big safe family suv drives extremely well once you add a K&N filter to it. It's a massive cardboard air-filter originally and it chokes the engine. Just buy a high quality airfilter like K&N or something even nicer and then it can spin up to 6K rpms in seconds and really go. It has a lot more pickup in the 4.2L inline then you would expect. Smooth comfortable ride. The suspension is a good set from the factory, but they wear out at about 70k with normal city use. The springs were also shot and needed to be replaced. The brakes lasted forever, I remember pulling the tires off at 75K and looking at half the pad still there and shaking my head going "really?" The need for the aftermarket high quality air filter is pretty extreme. When we first bought the Chevy it has so little power that we considered returning it to the dealer. After just the air filter change it went from sluggish and horrid to a high revving joy. It isn't a sports car by any means but it is a decent drive.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great family SUV.  Lots of space.  Makes you feel safe.  Good snow driving.  Excellent quality brakes and factory suspension.

Cons: Door seals make little whistling noises.

Truck! — Minor build quality issues otherwise it's a good vehicle. Found out when traded it in for my Saab that the Trailblazer was in a $20,000 accident with the previous owner. Explains why it leaned to the right and handled so poorly.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: Awesome in snow.

Cons: a lot of small stupid broken parts
