996 Targa — The car is a blast to drive, braking and handling are top notch, slightly more power would be nice. Porsche build quality is top notch and the car has yet to have anything other then normal maintenance done to it. The interior is very ergonomic, however the seats lack the support needed in a car of this performance level. Overall this car puts a smile on my face every time!

Pros: Solid performance car, built with passion.

Cons: Not quite as pure as some of the past 911's

I Love My 996 — Fast, can be driven to track, then to get groceries, and after that a cross-country trip. Been using it to 'commute' to Philadelphia area for work, and has performed without a hitch the entire time I've owned it. Plus, it's bee-yootiful... This was my first-ever new car, and it was well-worth the off-lot depreciation to know every mile was mine! I've owned several Porsches and heard the silliness about air-cooled versus water-cooled (I have examples of each), and it's just that... silliness. I do have to agree somewhat with the question of 996 'eyeballs', but at least mine has the later fried-eggs and not the Boxster 'droopy eyes'.

Pros: Fast, comfortable, handles well out of the box

Cons: The eyeballs

Porsche Is The Best! — I LOVE IT!!! BEST Performance – acceleration, braking, handling RMS is known problem in 996 version Cost of Ownership – High. All parts are made in germany and cost 3-4X of the usual cars. Takes ONLY premium gas and not too good on milage.. BUT WHO CARES??? Fun Factor- NO LIMITS - I still havent pushed the limits of this car .. but I can take a U-turn at 40mph with not a single squeek or screech .. thats what the Porsche engineering is..

Pros: Handling

Cons: NONE

Cool Car! — One of the coolest cars I've ever owned. Fast, elegant and a brilliant everyday drive! I've got one of the few that doesn't rattle but the wind noise at high speed is a bit rough. Cost of ownership a little bit high! Fantastic on the road and fun on the track.

Pros: Best of both worlds....not a cab and not just a coupe!

Cons: Clutch plate, brakes & disks as well as tyres only lasted 15,000km

2002 Porsche 996c4 Review — It's the best car i have ever owned; great performance, gorgeous outlook, nice quality! It's the pride of owning a true porsche 911! Never been happier the car i received my car. Even though it's not as fun as driving my M3, it's way better to drive a porsche than a M3. The corner turning is a lot better (stock to stock comparison), and the pulling is not bad. Overall, a true great car!

Pros: Allround great car!

Cons: backseat size too small

Great Ride.. — It is one of the most fun cars to drive as a sport car, but yet has well developed compartments for storage. The fact that there is a back seat that can fit three dogs for a short trip was the selling feature.

Pros: Color: Lapis Blue, Ride and Handling, Performance, Functionality

Cons: Can't drive in winter

Mom's Car. — It's nice :] good to take to the city. Fits my mom all the way and sounds like a beast. We even took it grocery shopping once but my face was in an orchid that was in the airbag.

Pros: Perfect everyday supercar.

Cons: Eats gas like the cookie monster eats cookies.

Grip — Well they still put the motor in the worng place but MY GOD THE GRIP. It feels as if this car has wonder glue stuck to the tires. While the acceleration and braking are strong its just not as dramtic or exciting as other supercars today. The AWD system is amazing every time i thougth i had reached the limits of grip the car would give more. Its great fun to drive just needs more power.

Pros: Grip to rip your face off and keep going

Cons: Needs more power

"porsche, There Is No Substitute" — The bloodlines for this car are unmistakable. The passion starts on th inside with classic 911 interior and works its way out onto the muscular body design, and finally ending up were this beast gets its roar, the engine. This car has a tune like none other, it is pure Porsche.

Pros: power to weight ratio is remarkable
great handling
gets up and goes when you need it to
a daily driver

Cons: doesn't always sound loud and powerful
lacks a little in the area of the WOW factor

Hold On To Your Pants And Find An Open Road With Some Curves! — I found this to be one of the cooliest prosche's I was evr fortunate enouh to drive and had the pleasuer of sellg one while I was at Porsche dealership

Pros: They made a limited number and it was built for the track but barely street legal

Cons: Rattles, is noisy at times, but usually blocked out by the incredible whine of the engine!

It wasn’t too appealing knowing it’s a coupe with not much power to accelerate. I’d rather go for a GT3 though it costs more but it’s worth the money. Read More
