Peter Zivny's Car — It was really ugly car, because it had been a taxi before, so it was painted all in yellow. It was quite reliable and the interior wasn't also bad, but I didn't like it, mainly because of that terrible color, every one had fun from it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable and good Peugeot engine.

Cons: Awful color

Peugeot 406 110hdi 2002 Model — Its a 110 hp diesel so its not the fastest thing in the world but its adequate. Braking is spot on but have them regulerly checked so that helps and handles very well Its 6 years old now so some things have been replaced such as the alternator and battery but these are consumables anyway and don,t last forever. The styling is looking dated now but it is still a reasonable looking car and comes with air con, climate control, electric mirrors, automatic dimming rear view mirror auto headlights and wipers if you want them. The cost of owning it is very reasonable as at the moment it costs around £80 to fill from almost empty(computer saying less than 30 miles in tank) and when its full it reads over 800 miles in tank but best I,ve done is just short of 700 but you have to drive reasonable to achieve this, not dawdle around but be sensible with your right foot. I find this car quite easy to drive and its equipment level is very good right down to the folding arm rests for the driver and front seat passenger.

Pros: economy, equipment level, tax bracket

Cons: poor turning circle

Well It Was The 3.0 V6... — Was better that I was expecting and a cracking Q car. Only the very small V6 badges gave it away, otherwise it looked like any other 406. It went very well and the engine was very smooth. It was faster than a 325 and at least as quick as a 328 (ahem). It was also very well specced and comfortable. Yeah, ok, so it's not the most exciting car in the world but it was quick, comfy, discrete and surprised a few motors in its time. Oh yes, and it was cheap.

Pros: Low key and fast.

Cons: Expensive to run; a bit dull.
