Xterra — Every repair that has gone into it was well worth the trouble. Tough machine that has gone through a lot. Everything is great. Lots of fun to drive, excellent in the snow! Unreal machine! There is nothing better out there

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Everything

Cons: None

2002 Nissan Xterra — Like the ride, the build quality, the 4wd is nice. It is big enough for the smaller family. Both my wife and I are bigger people so we require more seating area, this vehicle lets us have the car seat and not have the passenger seat in the dash. Perfomance is so-so. It is only a 3.3 pushing a big heavy vehicle so its not going to set any records. Fuel economy is not the greatest...have been averaging 18mpg.

Pros: Ride, Build quality, Quiet cabin as long as not accelerating.

Cons: Fuel economy, Motor is a bit loud for the type of vehicle it is....if it was a hot rod I like it, but its a family vehicle.

Mine — It awesome, i love it. I used to have a jeep, its alittle hard to compare because its not a four wheel drive. it rides, and handles magnificent. its pretty god on gas. and gets me to where i need to go. I would deffinently suggest this vehicle to nay one i know. it is very dependable and affordable. not to mention its built rock solid.

Pros: Roomy

Cons: Little Traction

Great Blue-collar Suv — My 2002 Nissan Xterra SE 4X4 SUV is great for off roads. It has a good balance between power and gas mileage and is mostly reliable. It's a great blue-collar SUV for outdoorsmen like me especially when I go snowboarding and kayaking. It shows some wear and tear though but it's more because of my poor maintenance and old age. But overall, I still love it just like the day i bought it in 2002.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great for outdoors and off roads.

Cons: No negatives so far.

Xterra=awesome — Needs a little more power and better MPG's. The appearance is very nice and is great to customize with whatever you want I put an Autobot decal on the rear bubble and on the roof rack and it looks great.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 4X4

Cons: MPG

This really is one hell of the truck straight from the factory! It was very well-built. I bought it new and and still driving it with 190,000 miles. I havent had to put much money into it for repairs. Ive only had to do normal upkeep on it. It keeps ongoing, so I keep on driving it. The suspension is tight, but I like my suspensions like I like my women. I know that terrible, but true. It does awesome in the snow, with a good pair of all-terrain tires. Its only been stuck one time. I dont do A lot of off-road Ing, but I have put this thing through stuff it definitely wasnt billed for, and it is surprisingly pulled through everything Ive thrown at it or should I say throw it into.

Handling Ranked 2002 Jeep Wrangler worse.
" I really enjoy how it handles. The suspension is stiff but strong. It has a super tight turning radius. This is due to the very short wheelbase. Similar to the jeep. Though I think the jeep has it there. "
Front Seats Ranked 2002 Jeep Wrangler worse.
" The seats are very comfortable. They arent super plush but they definitely do the trick. "
