Too Many Electrical Problems — This car was super cute, but there were a lot of electrical problems, repairs are super expensive, and the car is a piglette magnent. This was definitely the worst car I have ever driven in the snow. The interior is real nice and is also super comfy. the trunk is pretty spacious for a small car. It's a nice "starter" car for people interested in "luxury" or sports car, but eventually the cost of repairs will outweigh the inexpensive initial price tag. When I traded this car in, I received a lot of equity, so at least it still holds value.

Pros: Super cute

Cons: Repairs will cost you more than the car is worth

Gorgeous, Smooth, Good Accel, Good Control, Ace Features (nice Roof!) — This was my dream car. the panoramic sunroof got me interested in this car. had to buy it.

Pros: Looks great, feels great, features great.

Cons: mpg a bit low (up to 35-40 mpg tops on Motorway if don't push it too much, much less about town)

Many Repairs And Maintainance - Use Mercedes Repair Experts Only... —

I've had my car for 3.5 years. Needs break pads and rotors replaced every 25,000 miles depending on what kind of driving and driver you are. It costs 350.00 for each end so hopefully you can do them at separate times. Must get the right kind of pads and they do not turn the rotors like a regular car! They throw them out and make you start fresh - this is why the wheels have that black powder around them but they work great. Sears checked my starter, alternator and battery and in the process fried my $1,100.00 (parts and labor) Tel Aid and refuse to fix it and now I have a big SRS message on the dash that cannot be removed with the normal mercedes scanner. After about five years you will need the $1,000.00 tune up. I find the car to be slow on the low end (when starting to drive/ accelorate. I recommend getting one with the split fold down rear seat. The Check Engine light comes on for just about any little thing that comes up. Air Bags are dangerous because of the dangerous powder inside them and they can rip the skin off of your face (free chemical peel!) so my mercedes mechanic says you should put the seat back as far as possible and tilt it back (so you look like some of the young low riders) to keep it safe. I also had a bad original owner, so I had to rebuild most of the front end which was 1,300.00. My gas milage is not evil nor very good for a smaller sedan.

Owner for 3 years, 6 months

Miles Driven per Year:12,000

Pros: Pretty little sedan. Good turning radius.

Cons: Repairs, maintenance expensive

Pros: It fast.....really really really fast....

Cons: It's not faster that a speed camera....

A Little Upset With The Gas Milege The C240 Gets — THe car is overall a good car. I don't know if I have a pre-owned that just didn't have the right previous owner. I am concerned about the gas mileage; the car I drive, 2002 C240, gets approximately 14City 17Hwy MPG and this is not an exageration. I've owned the vehicle since March 2007 and I keep it in prime condition in and out, but the gas mileage is not the greatest in my opinion.

Pros: Responsiveness, Handling, Looks, Ergonomics

Cons: Gas Mileage

Terrific Car. I Think It's The Best Benz. Sporty, Fast And A Great Family Car Too!!! — It's handling is quick and responsive. Just hit the gas and you're up to highway speed. It's as fast as it looks and it has all the toys too. Luxury and safety combined in a sport sedan. Gave it to my daughter to travel back and forth to college. Wanted her in a safe car. She loves it too. Now I want to update it to a newer model and she doesn't want me to sell it.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Excellent stopping power, especially with Michellin tires.

Cons: Can't say anything bad about it.

It's A Great Mercedes, Like All The Others. — This car is an all around winner. The Mercedes-Benz C240 (Part of the 2000- 2004 Revision) is a excellent entry-level executive class sedan, boasting a 170hp V6. Despite its weight, the V6 can haul the car from 0-60 is no time. Acceleration is exceptional with that crisp sound of the German V6 working under the hood. Braking is also good. Handling is also good. The quality is top notch and seamless, no surprise seeing that Mercedes-Benz the fourth highest quality auto maker is the world (Forbes). Appearance is as always, very German, which means it is very sleek and sexy and easy on the eyes, but also very aggressive and very chic. Being a top notch "Blue Blood" quality car you need top notch "Blue Blood" quality maintenance, Which means, its not cheap, but its a fair price to pay for reliability and quality. Don't be surprised to see a $200-1,000 bill for service.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Reliability, Quality, Style, and Comfort.

Cons: None
