Very Good Car, Lots Of Power, Good Quality And Not So Expensive After All — Rrrrrrrrrrrrr: Are you young and you like cars with good performance, good reliability and a supah soundtrack? Then this is the car you got to buy! Same BHP as a Porsche Boxter but way cheaper to buy! The poke is on the dashboard, you go from 0-100 km/h within 6.8 seconds thanks to the 200bhp of this Type-R! The car has lots of grip, you can go around corners very fast without ending up in a tree. Everytime you put your foot down, man o man the cars turns into a beast, specially if you go over 5000 RPM so the V-Tech comes in. You immediately get a power boost and that sound...! Bottom line: If you like speed and good sound track, this is the car for you!

Pros: -cheap in comparison with his main rivals
    -lots of powaaaaah
    -honda = reliable
    -big booth

    Cons: -fuel consumption
-hard ride due to stiff suspension

Good, Solid (albeit Uninspiring) Transportation. But Get New Tires. —

This is actually my wife's car that she bought new, 2 years before we became engaged. Obviously this is not a fast car and not a luxury car. It's a compact car for someone on a budget. But it fills that role VERY well. Its reliability has probably been the best of any car I've been associated with. After 6+ years and 55,000+ miles, the only unscheduled maintenance has been a tightening of the belts. The a/c was making a strange whooping noise occasionally, but it works perfectly, so that was a very minor annoyance... The room is adequate. We have a baby now, the car seat is in the middle (of the rear bench, obviously), and there's still room for people to sit on the side - not comfortably, but they can make it. The performance is what you'd expect for the money. Not great. I've been a little annoyed sometimes trying to merge out of a cloverleaf. It understeers like a front-driver usually does. But none of these are terrible flaws - you get what you pay for, and if you're even looking at this car you obviously don't want high performance. It's just a good compact sedan. One black spot on this car: the original tires were HORRIBLE. Just check out tire rack if you want to see some awful reviews. They wore poorly, provided marginal traction even on dry pavement, and were terrible in wet and snow. By now, though, it should be almost impossible to find any original tires on this car - they will have long since expired.

Pros: Excellent reliability, good mileage, a solid car for the money

Cons: Original tires among the worst made in recent decades.

Great Buy — I've owned my Honda Civic VP for 2 1/2 years and have to say it is great on gas, comfortable (I'm 275) and needs nothing...ever. I get around 450 miles before I fill up and it takes about 12.5 gallons each time, so gas is brilliant. The seats are wide enough for my back and shoulders when almost nothing this size seems to be. I think the car drives as good as the day I bought it and could easily do 200,000 miles. I bought it for $13,400 and it's worth #10,500 2 1/2 years later? Unbelievable resale value. I just wish I bought the four door not the two door, but the manual is zippy not like the automatic.

Honda Civic Type-r — Blistering Performance. Refinement and long distance comfort pretty poor though.

Cheap, It's Good On Gas And It Looks Good Too! — So far this car has been through the war, it is black and seems to be a magnet for destruction. Everything from a rock hitting the roof from driving through the canyon to someone driving up the side of it, getting shot in the drivers side window with a bebe gun to a drunk driver out in Willow crunching the side. Multiple B & E's and hit and runs. Currently someone just tried to steal the damm thing and punched the passenger side lock in. I can not forget the most recent as someone ran a red light as I was sitting waiting for my light 4 lanes across.

Pros: Euro lights and exhaust, nice little body kit with spoiler.

Cons: ummm, wish it had a sun roof and maybe leather interior. I wish my automatic start would work!

Much Better Than A Cavalier; But Getting Old. (75,000 Miles) — Gas mileage isn't as good as a 2008 or newer model Honda. Has a dent in the front bumper.

    Pros: Runs very well.

    Cons: Dent in bumper.

Reliable, Cheap To Run Little Motor — The Honda Civic 1.4 Vision is nothing special to drive, but at least you know it will start every day and it never lets you down. The 1.4 engine is a bit numb but its built for economy not speed. It has the usual Honda spec, air con, cd player, elec windows, heated mirrors.

    Pros: Cheap and reliable

Cons: A bit boring to drive.

Sold It After Less Than Two Years — It is a good buy for a calm person who likes driving Mrs Daisy. I chose the DX-G model. It lacked in power, and the ride was not what i was used to from Honda.

    Pros: Decent car for grandma

Cons: no power and lacking in handling. Small

Different — handles well, its a car you have to rev over 6thousand to get the vtec to work, looks good and has a sporty look to it

Pros: looks good. quick, and sounds nice

Cons: quite thirsty. not a car for people who change gear quickly
