Work Truck — After taking a defensive driving course, I get to drive this university vehicle every once in a while.

Pros: Feels more like a car than any other truck I've driven

Cons: Bare-boned, wide turning circle

It Gets Me From Here To There — Typical Ranger XLT, 4.0 SOHC motor, auto tranny, put a tv/dvd player in the dash. It's covered in dirt, still drives great, and my bikes fit in the bed

Pros: Cheap, lasts forever, comfortable ride

Cons: It's a Ford, brakes suck

2002 Ford Ranger Xlt — My Ford Ranger is forest green. It gets pretty good mpg. About 15-17mpg in town. Good Stereo and sound system in originaly, later added a new system consisting of all new speakers and 2 10" subs in the back. Hits harder now

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 30-70mph is quick. (4.0L V6)
Decent gas miles per gallon.
Fun in snow

Cons: big gas tank and could have better mpg

A True All Purpose Vehicle — I got this truck in the middle of September right before a very nasty winter. Even not really having felt out my truck's performance, we had a massive ice storm that coated the entire county in over 3 inches of ice, as well as a great deal of snow. This truck took it all in stride. It ran extremely well in the snow and had a strong grip on the ice. Now that spring has come around, the time for muddin' has come. Even without dedicated mudders this truck is a real champ on the trails.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: 20+ mpgs on the highway, a real  sleeper on the street or trail

Cons: With mudders on the milage goes way down and not the best ride for a truck
