Great Car With Adequate Horsepower — This car is a very sound vehicle. I have to commend Ford on building a solid car that has exceeded my expectation. 260 horsepower stock and 302 foot pounds of torque. Yes that may seem like it doesn't have much, but considering the fact that full bolt ons gives you over 340 horsepower and it can handle much much more. The car handles like a dream and takes corners at 75 and 80 and doesn't waver at all. Breaking is adequate but could be better. I enjoy the styling of the vehicle in its simple design and aggressive look. At night there is no comparison to the look of a Mustang GT running down the road with the fog lights on. Overall this is a nice car that is affordable and makes my heart race every time i step on the gas.

Pros: Styling
power
interior
sound build

Cons: could have more power
breaking

Stock, But Many Mods To Come — Handling is great, Power is good, exhaust needs to be louder and deeper. Could Use Wider Tires but over all one bad ass ride.

Pros: Power, sound, style, MAch 460 sound system rocks

Cons: Stupid Tremec 1-2 grind

Great First Car. — good car over-all, needs a few things to get it where i want it and to give it more horse power... new tires, tints, racing stripes, mustang decal in the back.

Pros: Fun, Muscle power, Fast, Sporty, convertible

Cons: doesnt accelerate fast enough, not a GT

Absolutely Stunning — This car is one of the best finds for it's price. It comes with 262 horsepower, and you can expect to pay no more than $15-16,000...from a dealership. If you buy private party this beauty shouldn't be more than $14,000. I don't love this car for it's power alone, its sleek body style is much more aggressive than its more recent predecessors. The interior is also beyond anything I would expect in a car under 20 grand.

Pros: All around performance, aggressive body style, comfortable and stylish leather interior, powered drivers seat

Cons: Cop magnet

Not Many Problems, Check Engine Light Frustrating, Low Power On Hills — I do not drive the car much, usually my wife does. I can say that when i drive it I find it to be ok on the power on flat roads or at high RPM. but pulling hills with more than 1 person in the car you can really feel the lack of power as it slows, even with a high level of maintenance. Otherwise, wife loves it. she would buy again.

Pros: solid car, so far reliable, ok milage-24hwy

Cons: lower power due to v-6, doesnt pull hills well

Luv My Pony...could Of Been A Little More Driver Friendly! — I luv any Mustang...they are sleek and let still unique in their curves! They scream old school muscle and adapted well with changes over the decades (most cars now a days look basically the same).

Shock & Awe — I was never wildly crazy about the stangs until getting one myself. I recently bought a Silver 2002 V6 and all I can say is that I'm a stang convert! The Roush design exudes style and performance. Though I only got the base stang, I will never tire on its simple, yet elegant aesthetics. Since I'm only 5'6", the cockpit is just perfect. For taller and larger folks, it maybe a bit cramped. For now, I can't really say anything bad about it, except the smell of burned fuel or oil that seem to sip through the vent. Other than that, it's near perfect!

Pros: Handling, power, style

Cons: I'm sure there are some but can't think of any right now...

Awsome Car —

the power windows dealt me a bit of trouble.front driver side had to replace entire window and tracking, rear passenger window sticks on the molding alot.the warranty was not up to standards everyone else is offering a much longer warranty on thier product.mine expired and i feel a bit worried something may happen.i had toddler twins so it can hold 2 toddler size car seats.getting them in and out was ok in good weather just drop the top.winter was another story.for a single person it is a great car.i more less grew out of it and felt cramped inside this car.but i also drive a kia sadona and there is 5 times the room so i got spolied.over all when the warranty is in effect it is a great car.if you have money for possible breakdowns or are a self fixer even better.but if your like me and live for a warranty it is not your car.this is my 8th brand new car between myself and spouse.id rate it as one of the better picks.and of course way more fun to drive.if your in the midwest it will only depress you.snow days eliminate top down and so do hot days.we do not get to use top down often,so if your in say cali or florida etc go for it.schelle

One Of The Best I've Owned —

I bought a black 2002 V6 Mustang. I had bought a new 2008 Dodge Avenger since I had good luck with a 89 Dodge Daytona for 16 years. The first new car I ever bought and it was worst. AFTER OVER $3,000 dollars in repairs and two fires that was it. I said I'm going backwards, No more new cars. My Mustang is much more better built inside and out. If people don't like the interior they outta look at a 2008 Dodge Avenger. Lol The Mustang seems to be easy to change things out. The oil pan is the only thing I see as a pain. I hadn't had to change it. The motor has to be lifted to change the gasket. Besides that I love the car. Remember, You are buying an older car. That doesn't mean that's bad. Find out what was already done if you can. The rear engine seals do leak and people do have trouble with the sending unit. Mine was replaced and I calibrated the gauge myself and now it's better keeping track of gas. As for going up hills, I have no idea why some people said on here no power uphill. That's one thing I appreciate, Because my 2008 Avenger was terrible going uphill. This flies uphill. One more thing, People reading these reviews are not reading about the car being new. These cars have probably been through two or three owners. Remember some people that bought the car used and it's already 10 or more years old do not know if it's been abused, etc. So they give bad ratings. I was fortunate to buy from a second owner and it had been garaged in the winter and had all receipts for work done. ALWAYS check Carfax. I think you can run the VIN number through a Ford dealership and see what has been done IF they even used a dealership. UPDATE: 1 year later : I still love the car. No problems.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Sharp, Reliable, Sturdy, Much easier to work on than some newer cars. Nice going uphill. Fun to drive.

Cons: None.
