Mondeo St24 Fun Or What — the mondeo i own is an ex police interceptor from norfolk so it goes well and handles very well but due to modifications is a little expensive to maintain but gigle factor when you overtake bigger engined cars is fun and well worth it

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: good allrounder

Cons: spare parts

Good Commuting Machine — how can i expect too much about this 2nd hand....or 3rd hand car.....it looks good but taking 500 USD to fix each year......and the gas mileage is getting lower. I think my next car will be fiesta...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: cheap

Cons: maintenance

Could Do Better — Not alot to say that's good about it - it gets me from A to B (just about). Plenty of room for a surfboard and don't mind it getting filled with sand and crap... It's cheap to run and a means to an end.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: cheap

Cons: it's "sensible"

Ford Mondeo St 220 — For a start it isn't just any Mondeo, it's the ST220, full red leather interior and all the trimmings. I love it because it looks unassuming but when the silly boy racers start in their little suped up shopping cars it wipes the floor with them. ha Wish I could afford to keep it but sadly the insurance is too high and since I've decided to become a full time mother, something has to give.

Pros: Looks good, drives well, pretty economic on fuel, very comfortable and kicks ass!

Cons: high insurance, expensive services and fixes, can't turn the passenger air bag off (I want to put my 3 yr old in the front and can't because it's the sports version)

What's Wrong With The Mondeo? — 2.0 TDCI Great car - excellent acceleration & MPG spacious family car..... UNTIL went in for a service & MOT only to discover a major fault with the fly wheel spinning off centre (apparently more common than you'd imagine & said mechanic would NOT have this engine if you paid him!) potentially causing the engine to 'run away' uncontrollably with the computer taking over so you will not be able to stop the car without it crashing. I must say that for me, as I have an uncle to whom this actually happened on his way to work, this was not a car I now wanted to transport my nearest & dearest around in! I went out & got a lovely little trouble-free polo instead!

Pros: Acceleration, space

Cons: Potentially lethal

St220 — 2002 ST220 in panther black, with heated black recaro leater back and front. Chrome clocks and carbon fiber dash gives it a great look. Handling is solid with it going round corners like it is on rails. Best spec and performance for the price, leather trim all round and the V6 3.0 gives the best engine grunt. For the same spec I would have to spend 6k more and buy a 3 year older BMW. What a car !!!

Pros: fast and fit

Cons: tyre costs
