2002 Durango — Nice SUV for money. Not too bad on gas, got the v8-step down from the Hemi. Lots of room for all of our stuff. Handles like a truck. Has good acceleration. Lots of power. Black on black , looks good! Fold down back seat give lots of room if needed. Interior has held up well.

Pros: V8 baby

Cons: gas when prices where high

2002 Dodge Durango R/t — I own a 2002 Dodge Durango R/T that I have had for a year so far. My transmission went out on it at 80,000 miles!! Luckily, I had bought an extended warranty (Olympicare) and am blessed that it is going to take care of this, as well as previous problems (sensors). From what I have seen this is a common problem for these SUV's. So if you plan on buying one, you better make sure that you get a warranty on it. Most likely you will need it! So BEWARE!! As far as performance it does Great. It definitely moves when you want it to! However, gas mileage sucks on it so if you travel a lot, this ain't for you. Me personally, I think after this I will stick to my imports. It seems that I had way less trouble with them than I do amercian vehicles.

Pros: Nice body style, great performance

Cons: Watch out for transmission problems early, bad on gas

02 Durango — I Love the durando, its got the room and power that I need as well as the capability of being modded the hell out. The 4.7 is not to shabby on take off and the gas mileage isnt too good for driving back and forth to work but on the long trips to NY you cant beat it

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Best Suv Around!!! — I LOVE my truck! I couldnt ask for anything better. It rides, well, handles well, and does great with anything I throw at it! I've added a few things to make it fit more my style, and still get decent gas mileage. 18-20 on the highway and about 13-16 around town.

Pros: Everything is hreat about my truck!

Cons: I cant think of anything I don tlike about it!

The Beauty And The Beast Rolled Into One. — I have used it for everything from towing boats, to carrying around a bunch of my friends, its been on long trips, and its seen plenty of time off-road and on dirt roads. It handles and performs very well for an SUV. I've only had to make minor repairs which were probably the cause of my abuse than the reliability of the truck. She has 65k miles and still runs like new. The interior is nice, especially in the slt plus. all the controls are easy to use and in reach of the driver. I've yet to experience any major trouble with the transmission, but it definitly isn't at its best and Durangos are known for that. If you're in the market for a used SUV or need a vehicle to handle multiple tasks, i recommend a Durango.

Pros: performance, capabilitly, handling, appearance.

Cons: transmission is weakpoint of drivetrain, braking could be better.

Best Suv I Have Ever Had And I Have Had Many. —

This is my second Durango, the first one was a 2000 SLT and I got to say the R/T is much more fun. It sits a litle lover and is firmer on the raod, has the sport stainles exhaust from Borla, it has the chrome R/T rim´s and the special R/T lether interior. It has little over 80.000 miles on the clock and so far I have changed the front brakes out for slotted & cooled rotors and better pad´s, changed out the stearing pump, all 4 ball joints with lube able ones and one wheel hub bearing. For mods I have changed out the two pice front headlights with one piece chrome headlights and the also the rear lights with chrome euro alteza lights. I have a 50 Hp super chips in it with the 5,9 l magnum V8 engine. What can i say I love this truck and I do al the work on it my self so I am a sucker for the Durango and just love it. Sure it is thirsty but it delivers everything I ask of it so I am very happy with it. The performance is exelent, acceleration is about 8 seconds for 0-60 miles, I love the handling, best handling in an SUV that I have tried. After 80 k miles there are no squeaks or rattles. The truck still looks like it is brand new inside and out and I love the styling it looks sporty and is both practical and looks good inside. I live on a small island so it hardly ever gets to best heat or speed to get good mileage so it drinks about 30 l per 100 km here but when I go to the mainland it drinks about 14 to 16 liters per 100 km which is ok for a truck that weighs over 2 tons . Bottom line I love this truck and it will stay with me until one of us dies.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It takes me every where I want to go in extreme condition´s and it has so much comfort.

Cons: If you want green car skip this one

"With this vehicle, i can have 7 people in my truck or large amount of cargo space without having to have a large pick up truck. Also, in my state this comes up as registrable as a station wagon--always a big plus for insurance purposes!"
