Avalanche — Good truck. Built on the suburban platform, so it Drives and rides great. The performance is quite good for such a big truck. I just wish it was not invisible to the idiots in subcompacts who want to get run over by it.

Pros: solid truck with a great ride

Cons: the bed cover needs better weather proofing

2002 Chevy Avalanvche Z66 — Smooth, capable, and well appointed, this truck does anything I ask of it (except get better mileage). Hauling and trailering is effortless. With just the stock equipment this is a work truck through and through. This hasn't been a total honeymoon, however. I've had catastrophic rear brake failure twice. Replaced the driver's side window regulator, fuel pump, rain guards in the bed, and have a short in the brake lights that nobody can find. I would expect that most of these issues have been addressed in later years, and if that's the case I would recommend this truck to anyone.

Pros: Powerful, refined, capable, and smooth.

Cons: New body style means new issues: leaks, poor rear brakes, a few electrical bugs and lousy gas mileage.

Big Blue!!! — I LOVE my truck! 5 passenger but I have 6 Cupholders. Two Lockable Toolboxes that Double as Ice Cooler Chests b/c they have a drain. Storage compartments Galore! 5 Outlets for Charging Cell, Ipod, Etc. Leather is Comfy but from people that can not exit properly and choos to slide down out the truck instead od lifting their arse up and out, the cushion have some wear. I don't complain about gas and for those who wanna tell me I'm crazy for having an 8cyl truck with todays gas prices you will NOT be riding if it bothers you that much HA HA! I don't mind so why should you? DISLIKE: the cladding! UGH! I cannot wait to get it painted but for now I will tuff it out b/c it reminds of the Patriots colors blue and grey! Fun Factor: Very Fun to drive and I get to D Bo everyone! BEEP BEEP! I can handle my truck at all speeds, maneuver around cornes easily and back up fast in a str8 line.

Comfortable, Functional Do All Vehicle. — One test drive is all it took. This is a truck that will haul people and or gear in comfort.

Pros: Height, power, versatility, comfort, durability, fluff

Cons: Rear visibility, Gas mileage in $4.00+ a gallon economy

I Would Not Drive Anything Else! — All of you Prius driving tree hugging hippies...the only thing your car does better than mine is sip on gas. I'd love to see your car tow a 4000 lb trailer 1500 miles non-stop, go off-roading, haul a 1500 lb load in your trunk, have your engine last as long as 300,000 miles like mine is capable of doing, and just overall be as badass as an Avalanche. The Avalanche can do all of these things with ease. For the amount of cargo I can haul, it'll take at least 4 trips in a Prius...and then guess who's burning more gas!

Pros: The ability to do just about anything and do it well and with ease.  It can do anything a car can do and more...except trips to the store will cost more than in a car.

Cons: Uh the obvious...the gas mileage.  But I can get 20 mpg highway with a light foot.  Also a shorter turning radius and better approach and departure angles for off-roading would be nice.

Seems To Be A Good Truck, But I Haven't Tried It Offroad Yet. — It is a pretty comfortable truck even with the lift. I have never had a truck with wide tires like this and they are nice but hyrdoplane in rain and snow.

Pros: Comfortable

Cons: I have had some problems with the 4x4.

The Most Versatile And Reliable Vehicle — The Chevy Avalanche has to be one of the best vehicles that GM has rolled off the assembly line. This truck has very comfortable seating of up to 5. The Avalanche also has a nice bed to haul your quad, dirtbikes, or even mulch. Hauling is important, but the vehicle is a BEAST hauling. The Chevy Avalanche will tow pretty much anything to hook up to it. Off road, this truck is a pure bread BEAST. Not only is it a performer, but it has awesome looks, and tons of accessories you can add to make it meet your standards.

Owner for 4 years, 10 months

Miles Driven per Year:16,000

Pros: Pretty much everything

Cons: I can't think of one thing i hate about this vehicle

Very Nice Truck — We bought this truck with 5000 miles on it. It has been extremely versatile and dependable. We like it so much we bought a 2010 four wheel drive with the ltz package. This will be an excellent car for someone who does not want to pay new car prices.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: clean low mileage

Cons: couple of minor scratches

The Chevy avalanche is the best truck Chevy has ever made. And you can tell that because they stopped making it. These trucks last forever and they don’t want that!!!
