Still Lovin' It! — Owned for 6 yrs- still love everything about fitting in tight parking spaces, getting better gas mileage than the majority, and most of all it's been with me in 4 countries and is perfect for every one! Downfall- the interior is fairly basic.

Pros: Gas mileage, parking spots, tough, oil change/tire change kind of car

Cons: Wind's influence, basic interior

Toyota Echo 2001 — This is meant to be an early 21st-century economy-size trooper, with excellent gas mileage and handling to go with it. My model has manual transmission, which makes it fun to drive for me, though the acceleration leaves much to be desired (v4, oh well). Braking is fine, the build quality is, too, and the internal appearance is pleasing, though the exterior one lacks imagination. With its great cost of ownership, fun factor is not a problem. But I expect gas mileage to improve dramatically in less than 5 years for models such as this one! Let's go for 60 miles/gallon!

Pros: Economic, neat

Cons: Boxy look

Great First Car — i like that the car ges great gas mileage. it really helps now adays because of the higher gas prices. it never needed any necessary maintance. i love the fact it is small and i can park pretty much any where. it is not too fast but it is a great first car for anyone.

Pros: gas mileage

Cons: sometimes is boring to drive

I Love My Car..here Are A Few Reasons Why — The main issues that I have with the toyota echo that I own are the lack of automatic locks or windows and storage space. My favourite part about my echo, besides gas mileage, is the customization. Anyone who knows me will know that it is my car because of the distinctive decals, magnets, and overall appearance. The oddest part about my vehicle is the large alice pack (aka my 72 hour Search & Rescue gear) strapped into the back seat..hey, it has to go somewhere! =)

Pros: gas mileage; built in cd player; large trunk space; ability to handle curves well; automatic transmission

Cons: no automatic locks or windows

My Echo — It was plain just a base model, they are good on gas, there is not much for performance on it yet, its rattly but thats because of my stereo, i've changed the appearance of it and it does not look like your regular Echo. Its very fun to drive, I recommend them to anyone, this is my second Echo, my buddy bought one similar to mine after I got it. It has 190000 km on it and I have not changed anything on it yet, and the papers that the were in the car states that the old owner didn't have to either. There is pictures on my profile of it.

Pros: All of it

Cons: The performance, but that will change

Good For A First Car — This is the first car I've owned, and it's a trooper. It handles decently has a good turning radius. But the acceleration is crap.

Pros: Gas mileage
Small size
Cheap to fix
Decent turning radius

Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE

The Echo Is The Most Economical Vehicle I've Ever Had — Great little car that just sips the gas. When it's my turn to carpool, out comes the Echo! It performs decently with the 5 speed...it's no sports car, but it's no slouch either.

Pros: Gas milage

Cons: Could stand to have a little more HP, but the 5 speed does help.

2001 Toyota Echo 2 Dr Coupe — The Toyota Echo handles nice and it's easy to find a parking space, great mpg, Lots of headroom and trunk space for a small car. Decent acceleration for a 1.5 liter engine. unobstructed viability, 2 front airbags as a safety feature, Overall a great economical car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: cabin is roomy for a small car, good trunk space, great mpg, highway over 40pmg

Cons: instrument panel is in the center of dashboard which takes a little time getting used to, nothing fancy, no clock
