Dispite It's Problems, One Of The Best Benz's Made. ('08-'09 Ranked Better) — ECU replacment is about $1200 a pop, there's at least 4. Oil changes are %80+. Solid ride, low road noise, comfort is outstanding. Capable of ralle racing. Disc nav system is outdated now. Handling is superior to American cars even while needing tuning.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's a Benz

Cons: Super expensive upkeep

Owner — Cost of Ownership is balanced with the performance and appearance! Solid, stately and sporty! Once the kinks are repaired the car becomes less irritating and the fun begins. It is a car that needs to be driven not driven in.

Pros: Handling acceleration, looks

Cons: Nothing

Merc's - Ar Ethey Really Worth It? Hell Yes!! — Top end grunt is amazing, but very slow off the mark. Low road noise, beautiful handling, fantastic ride quality. Good on fuel, and stylish to boot! The Kompressor engine is what makes it. Id hate to even think about a C180 natural aspirated donk, although Im sure it would be alright at full flight.

Pros: Once you go Euro, you don't go back!

Cons: A little disspointing on power off the mark, but top end grunt makes up for it.

2001 Mercedes C240 — Great car. Sporty to drive especially in the mountains of NC. Very quick when needed. The only down side to this car is the electrical quirks that come up. The passenger side window and the sun roof will stop working. I have to reset the controls for them to start working again.

Pros: Fun to drive in the mountains

Cons: electrical issues with the sun roof and passenger window

It's A Great Car : ) — I feel it needs either a Kleeman or AMG kit along w/ 18 inch BBS RG-R wheels to give it a little more pizazz.

Pros: Great Handling

Cons: It's automatic

Unreliable, Uninspiring And Expensive To Fix — This car turned my off from Mercedes-Benz for life. I'm told that the higher MBs do not suffer from build quality issues.

Pros: Comfortable seats and nicely appointed interior.

Cons: Unreliable.  Left me on side of road one too many times, AC was flakey, electrical problems galore.  Shifting was rough.

Decided To Have An Fu-red Car @ Age 28 Before, Long Before A Midlife Crisis! — It was pretty cool to be driving a brand new free Mercedes-Benz at age 28! The interior leather and high tech controls were great in the first new car I ever drove on a regular basis.

Pros: Love the Color, 1st new car owned, Company Car (free!), "Sport" Edition, Sunroof.

Cons: Underpowered, small backseat/trunk.

C240 V6 1998 — A great car, especially for long trips, motorways, where this car fell home ... the V6 engine powers the car engough to give the pleasure of never missing power ... However a turbo would have made it fun ;) Mercedes' state of the art in my opinion !

Pros: Comfort, Solid, Mercedes-Benz, the great automatic gearbox

Cons: fuel efficiency of the V6 engine, lack of a turbo, Mercedes-Benz servicing prices
