Great Overall — My Tribute is a great car overall. It has it's issues like any car does but more than gets the job done. The engine is fantastic though. 200 bhp 6 cyl with alot of torque. It has great power for a small SUV and has a sporty suspension system. Mazda calls it an SUV with the soul of a sports car. The interior is quite solid with 6 disc CD, leather, and everything that you might need. The only real issue is the mileage; but that's expected I guess with an SUV. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Engine and Suspension Cons: Gas Mileage ![]() Looking for a Used Tribute in your area?CarGurus has 614 nationwide Tribute listings starting at $1,995. |

The Green Machine — The car is really nice for what it is, for one the color (Jewel Green Metallic) is very rare and I have only seen a handful anywhere. The leather seats are a pain to deal with since they are showing some age and all. The engine itself is powerful but you sacrifice a lot of MPG's especially in an urban setting like Houston. The car fun to drive in curving or winding roads due to it's fairly large engine and tight suspension. The turning radius and relatively small size makes it much easier to handle in tight places such as parking lots. My Mazda has been a great first car, and I believe that if I had gotten any other vehicle I would have probably wrecked it because this SUV has limited blind spots and is high enough off the ground that someone can definately see all of their surroundings. This car is great first car for a teenager. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Rare color and package, Sport tuned suspension, great acceleration, and overall good looking Cons: Bad gas mileage, alot of plastic parts break, Mazda service is way overpriced |

I Have Not Had Any Problems Until This. — The car has been great for our family. I would say that the only thing that was really disappointing was when the gas prices went up and I wasn't getting that great of gas milage. Owner for 5 years, 8 months Miles Driven per Year:12,000 |

No Bottom Line — I like the car, but the brakes are not good. The dealer told me it had ABS, but it does not even have good brakes. I've hit a telephone pole once and almost a car in front of me just because it wouldn't stop. There's nothing wrong with the ones that are on it, they just don't stop the vehicle, I have to make sure to slow down long before I get ready to stop. Otherwise I really like it. Just had to put another engine in the auto. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: 4 wheel drive is great for winter driving Cons: brakes are not good |
