Hyundai 1600 Elantra — Very Economical about 15 to 16Km's per Litre, spacious, not afraid to overtake while going 160, plenty power left without gearing down to fourth. Interior is standard vinyl cover seats, a bit light gets dirty very easy. Car is fun to drive, Got 57000Km's on the clock and no rattles and squicks thusfar. Would have liked MAG rims on the car though. Imobiliser is giving problems with central locking etc. Nice car to Pimp if needed. Plenty Boot space. Perfect for Golfclubs and scuba gear.

    Pros: Road handling very Good

    Cons: Soft body

2001 Elantra General Review — With some suspension upgrades, it handles very nicely. With some exterior mods it looks very nice. It does not under perform but doesn't have the best performance, decent for a 4 cyl. Engine runs a little noisy but not to bad. Stock speakers are very decent, but I upgraded anyway. Great MPG. Low maintenance. Interior is comfortable and i am 6' 3".

Pros: Great MPG!  Not bad looks.  Runs pretty solid.

    Cons: A little noisy.

My Rebound — It was a nice a car I had it 8 months and put 30,000 miles on it. At 90,000 miles I had to replace the caliper and rotor after the caliper froze, I was constantly breaking wheel studs because they where weak and it needed the whole front suspension replaced.

    Pros: It looked awesome

Cons: Bad gas mileage, bad build quality, bad gas mileage for a car of this caliper

Not Bad — This car was much better than I had thought it would be. It reminds me of a nice early 1990s Volvo. The car is kind of dated and average in just about every way- but that is ok when you save some money. Hyundai has finally given the world a good everyday vehicle. I also think the car has a unique look- although it is not gorgeous. I've driven been a passanger and driver in this car for VERY long periods of time and I have no complaints. You can really use this car for a lot of different purposes and, if you don't expect tons, it will not let you down.

    Pros: pretty well rounded

    Cons: pretty well rounded

Nice. — 1.6L with Power Steering, Electric Windows, Air-Con. Performance and Handling was better than expected from a 1.6L Estate.

    Pros: Comfortable and reliable

    Cons: Dull

Good Car Never Drive In The Snow Or Rain No Heater — bought this car brand new use to be gold changed color after dash fire and I am still driving it with 65K on it. Everything on it still works as it should. but the heater blower system eats fan control switches like candy I did a lot of research on this car before buying it, I bought the car goes GREAT in the snow.. It also handles good on dry roads as well I had it up to 80 mph and handles great. The only repairs I have made were over 12 replacements of heater blower fan control switches and the whole heating system replaced, other than that just the regular repairs. I would buy another but with a newer heater system

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: i like the car goes great

Cons: heater never working in the rain long burns out before the end of the month.

I Would Buy Another But With A Newer Heater System — I bought this car brand new and I am still driving it with 79K on it. Everything on it still works as it should. but the heater blower system eats fan control switches like candy I did a lot of research on this car before buying it, I bought the car goes GREAT in the snow. I always run 35 - 45 on the slippery roads with no trouble and I have gone through powder snow that was coming over the hood. It also handles good on dry roads as well I had it up to 90 mph and handles great. The only repairs I have made were over 20 replacements of heater blower fan control switches and 1 fuel injector, other than that just the regular repairs. I would buy another but with a newer heater system. .

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: gets me home and doesn't break down it only breaks down at home thank god.

Cons: heater blower system eats fan control switches like candy

Commuter — Good little commuter car, very weak on the power, but its not really supposed to go fast. Interior is good, nice build quality. Being a hatchback it has a lot of room when you put the rear seats down. Had great reliability with mine, routine maintenance was very inexpensive, even more so because I did most all of it myself. Overall a great little car.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Cheap to own and operate

    Cons: Look stupid doing it
