2001 Honda Odyssey Ex — If god had to drive a minivan, this would be it. The beastly 3.5L V-6 generates about 280 Hp and can smoke it's tires given the right conditions. This Lambo-van (vanborghini?) even includes a button to disable traction control! Ride quality is excellent even in the worst conditions and when it comes to high speed stability, it squats low to the ground as the satanically posessed engine pulls you to the edge of insanity. This is not a minivan. It is "sports car with increased seating capacity".

Pros: Can beat a mustang off the line

Cons: You'd be lucky to get 20 mpg out of this thing

Honda Odyssey Ex 2001 — I've own this car since 2001 and my wife does not like this vehicle. She feels the V6 is underpowered for the weight of the car. I think it's fine but I usually don't drive around 3 kids and all their sports gears in the van. I enjoy the drive and it's perfect height for me to get in and out of the car. A/C works great and offers plenty of storage room. It's a mini van and it does what it's suppose to do.

    Pros: Lots of Storage Space

    Cons: It's a Mini Van

Honda Odyssey — It hauls us around and gets around 20mpg doing it. Good for kids, although we wished we got leather. The mouse fur tends to hold stains. The back seat drops into the floor. The middle seats come out. If you do all that, you have a pretty good van. We bought it at 60k something miles and have nearly 100k now.

Pros: hauls a lot of people

    Cons: noisy

Good But Transmission Issue — The van is my dads we had it for 7 yrs but it was a we have to wait 3 months till the van arrive at the dealership at that time. We already have to replace the transmission 2 times already for the past 2 years. I drove this van a lot.

Pros: A navigation system traction control

Cons: The Transmission & gas mileage

Nothing More Versatile Than A Minivan. — We love our van... it does everything except excite you when driving... otherwise, it's fantastic.

Pros: Carries 7 people with relative comfort, plus their stuff, all at 24 mpg.

Cons: Not a vehicle suitable for racing, fun, autocross... anything that might raise your blood pressure a few notches.

Not As Reliable As A Toyota Sienna — Family of 6 -- we started with a honda odyssey, power everything, and it just broke more often that it should have. I finally sold it at 36k miles and switched to a toyota sienna. Much better car (smoother drive, no mechanical problems).

The Best Road Tripping Car There Is — Mileage is 25 highway @ 63 mph 28 tops @ 48-50 mph Best horse to weight ratio of all the Odyssey's @162K miles motor has been rebuilt with new pistons and retained the connecting rods main shaft and main bearings - looked great. New valves and seats for the heads. Polished the intake air runners and exhaust manifolds. Crank was polished as well by a machine shop. $1,000 for the machine shop bill - Boring, heads pressure tested, polishing crank, valves and seats installed. Total cost of engine rebuild at 2,500. All new bolts are on the motor. Trans rebuilt with Sonnax TC valve and external inline ATF cooler and external filter. The only way this should have left the factory. Very powerful motor After market front brakes, rotors, work much better than OEM - don't let the dealer have a shot at the front brakes - save a ton of money as well.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Makes long trips fantastic - Great visibility  - best of all cars ever owned

Cons: Road noise from side doors
