Wish It Would Run Forever. — Love at first sight/drive. Hasn't disappointed me yet, other than getting up there in age and the usual wear and tear.

Owner for 6 years, 6 months

Miles Driven per Year:12,000

Pros: Looks, handles, performs like a more expensive vehicle.

Cons: None that I can think of.

I Really, Really, Really Like My Sebring Convertible But Don't Buy One! — This is a beautiful car - but only for the rich who would have money to have it fixed in a Chrysler dealership. Complex vehicle but wonderful when no issues are looming. Great for Sunshine states and a classy looking ride!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Handling is excellent.
Comfortable

Cons: Too much road noise
Too many electrical problems
Timing Chain Issues

Sexy, Pretty, Fun, Exciting, Luxuious, Attractive. — There are far more pros in my opinion for this vehicle than cons, though I haven't had it all that long, and I haven't had to drive it through the winter yet. What I CAN say, is even with the current issues, no horn- due to the "AIR BAG" light coming on, and oil leaking out from under the passenger side of the car so fast I have to put oil back in the car at least once a day, I still wouldn't trade it in. I'm still happy with my purchase. (photo is not actual personally owned vehicle)

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Convertibles are always a luxury, and they're fun vehicles to drive. My particular Sebring is very spacious, luxurious, and smooth riding. You're almost floating down the road.

Cons: The motor for the convertible top, is potentially an added expense should it fail to operate properly. The engine has a bad reputation. So far, my car is leaking oil like it's going out of style.

Great In The Beginning — mitsubishi eclipse done with some class, handling not so great with the longer wheel base and you will have problems with the batteries in these things, but hit a deer head on and have a minor injury up front so it takes a pounding, overall decent car... especially for the heavy footed... the car did not hold up though this lasted for 3 years... starting at 100,000 miles even with scheduled maintenance it had issues with the engine leaks... go figure mitsubishi made... the belts all went bad together and i changed 3 batteries on it

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: quick, luxurious look, great sound system, huge trunk

Cons: handling, lack of interior room

  • Back Seats
  • Cargo Capacity
  • Family Car
  • Value
  • Would Buy
Looks/Style Ranked 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe RWD better.
"given its a 2 door coupe, its sporty style kinda works a little better with the bumpers and taillights.. though it really goes both ways"
Front Seats Ranked 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe RWD worse.
"its stitching and styling has a slight better feel"
Family Car Ranked 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe RWD worse.
"it really does both ways, but there were more F4A51 automatic trans in the sebring models so it provided a smoother shift"
Value Ranked 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe RWD better.
"in a pull, ive heard that the sebring model is a more disliked model because of its other models being unreliable so ppl junking them is more common when something simple goes wrong, being harder to find in solid shape and originally the more expensive model... it should have a slightly higher value, especially for us collectors "
