2001 Pt Cruiser — At first I wasn't too crazy about driving a PT Cruiser. A friend of my family owned it before I did, and being a car buff added an after-market grille, bumper covers, and some chrome trim. Since we got it I was in an accident and had to lose the grille. I also got some American Racing 5-spoke wheels for it. I've put 110,000 miles on it since I got it about 4 years ago, and it's really earned it's keep.

Pros: Just keeps running!

Cons: Same gas milage as a jeep.

Cruisin' Usa Style... — Turns like a truck, but loads of character - some major mechanical problems now it's getting older (with the transmission). Also problems with the bushes on the steering, parts are expensive too - but the engine is sound, and the body work has no problems (only self inflicted ones!) In all - it lives up to it's name - it cruises!

Pros: Loads of character

Cons: Parts are expensive when something goes wrong

Would Never Buy A Chrysler Again — the only good thing about the pt cruiser is has plenty of room on the interior specially with the removeable 60/40 rear bench, but thats where the positive's stop.after purchasing the 2.4L 5spd touring edition pt cruiser i loved it until i hit 99,000miles then everything started going down hill big time. the engine blew out, 2 transmissions 3 clutch's radiator and list goes on and on

Pros: great on gas

Cons: i could be here for a while to name all of them

The Ultimate In Bling, For Under 22 Grand. — It's my current car (but mine's black) While it might not be the fastest thing on the road, it sure is a pleasure to drive.

Pros: Drives great, shifts go smoothly, brakes are awesome

Cons: Would like a touch more power

Very Thirsty — See pros & Cons

Pros: Looks nice, full leather interior, air con, cruise control, very comfortable, roomy & back seats can be completely removed.

Cons: Too Thirsty, repairs are expensive, limited as to where you can get parts from, not the quietest of cars & rubbish turning circle.

I Love My Pt! — Just purchased this vehicle in Jan. 2008. So far I have no major complaints. It's fun to drive!

Pros: I love the look of it, it's easy to drive and has plenty of cargo space.

Cons: Being front wheel drive it doesn't handle snow and winter driving conditions as well as my 4WD Ford Escape.

Quirky To The Extreme — What is this car? Is it a car? Or a wagon? Crossover? The PT Cruiser is difficult to classify as it looks like a combination of many things, you sit in it fairly high like a small truck or crossover and for the most part it drives like a car. The engine has surprisingly more than enough torque for everyday and spirited driving though fuel comsumption suffers when pushed too much. Its handling is quite good though a bit on the touchy side, while the brakes are unacceptably touchy and overly assisted. If deciding what to call it gave you a headache then avoid the interior as its layout makes no sense at all. Window switches are centrally mounted on the console and rear seat passengers have no switch of their own. Doors lock manually and individually. Really the only good part is that the rear seats fold and can be removed to increase cargo space.

Pros: Rear seat design, handling, peppy engine

Cons: Grabby brakes, interior layout, styling

An Overall Good Car. — I have owned this car for 2 years and i love it. Not the fastest car in the world but it has a lot of head and leg room. Gets good gas mileage.

Pros: Big, roomy interior

Cons: Not very strong in an accident.
