Its A Good First Car Or Second — This is my second car....and although it lacks in power of what i want....its got enough to do the job...its great on gas and although it is a base modle it can get up to speed....and pretty quick

Pros: good on gas

Cons: not a lot of power

Sexy Car! — This car is hot, inside and out. Its sporty has the RPM Gauge and everything and its even sporty and fun to drive. The engine isn't that bad 4 cylinder but it pulls as much as a 3.3L engine so not that good gas mileage. Stock sound system not bad either. Overall I'd say that this car is perfect for me! -Akhil

Pros: Sporty, Good Handling, Excellent Appearance, Reliable

Cons: Too Much Gas, Engine Noisy with A/C Running

Great Value — I bought my 2001 brand new early that year. After 6 years, I don't have too many complaints. My car has been pretty solid for me and I've had very few problems with it. Having said this, the 2001 Cavalier doesn't have many bells and whistles. There is no CD player and not even a tape player. My radio is still going strong though. I did have a problem with part of my dashboard suffering some sun damage and cracking down the middle. But, this car gets it done and I didn't pay all that much for it. I am planning to trade it in soon though as I see it's time to do so.

Owner for 6 years, 3 months

Miles Driven per Year:5,500

Pros: Inexpensive, runs quiet

Cons: Interior made rather cheaply

Good Small Car — It was great for our purpose until my son took on a family. It only had two doors and his need really out grew the model.

Pros: great GAS mil.   dependable  it never stranded my son.

Cons: too SMALL    for highway driving at speeds of 70 or greater its just scarry to be in such a small car

Da Cav — This car accelerates very well for a 2.4-liter with a 4-speed auto. It is a fun one to drive, especially cause it looks relatively close to a Corvette, my dream car. Compare it to a 1987 Plymouth Colt E, it is no contest in overall quality and performance. I recently drove it from Fargo, ND to St. Cloud, MN and calculated my gas mileage at 38. For an almost completely stock car that is 9 years old, it is excellent on the gas, especially because I was expecting about 35. I do believe, with the swapping of a 5-speed manual, that I could likely break 43 to the gallon on the highway.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: economy, always starts in cold weather

Cons: where's the 5-speed manual to go with the 2.4?
