2001camaro — Loud, Fast and sucks down the gas like nobody's business! Love how it drives, shifts, sounds. I'm sad they aren't making a 2010 Z28 cause this one is sweet. I will only be replacing the brakes, bcuz I'd like better stopping power. The only thing with performance would be turning, cause muscle cars don't really like turns and all.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Power, Sound, Appearance, Everything

Cons: Only the turning capability

Ls What? — Great car with a solid drivetrain. Weakest link is the puny 10 bolt rear. Interior is spartan but liveable. You buy one of these cars for the performance; of which it is not short of.....especially with the right combination of modifications.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: LS1 engine, T56 manual transmission

Cons: Weak 10 bolt rear end

2001 Camaro Ss — Solid F-Body altho like all others i wish they would have addressed the subframe connector issue from the factory. The transmission they gave it has to be the weakest automatic ever put into an F-Body. Other then that, can keep with any other mustang or import on its price level.

Pros: LS1 power, and great price vs performance.

Cons: body tends to twist up without subframe connectors, and weak 4l60e transmission.

2001 Camaro Z28 — Its got an LS1, does anything else matter? In bang for the buck performance, its hard to go wrong. Its also impressive in the handling department if you take the time to replace the crappy stock shocks. Simple bolt ons will net you impressive gains.

Pros: Stellar performance, good looks, responds well to modifications, good mpg with the optional six - speed manual.

Cons: Typical GM plastic interior

Pros: great performance good gas mileage

Cons: T tops leak a little but it has to be pouring down rain plus its 7 years old so its alright

The Best! — The 4th generation Camaro is such a great car. Speed, handling, power are all there and looks are killer. DRIVE ONE ASAP AND TELL ME HOW MUCH YOU LOVE IT! Would buy ever LS1 Car ever made forever! The T56 is one smooth tranny! The only thing I wish GM improved on was the 10 bolt but that is easily swapped out!

Pros: The best ever!

Cons: 10 bolt :-(

Why Did Gm Quit On Camaros/firebirds? — Car is a blast to drive. Responsive handling, insane acceleration, smooth ride. V6 provides plenty of power along with better fuel economy. I haven't repaired anything on it. Interior is roomy up front, very luxurious. Car looks amazing inside and out. The car has 44,000 miles and still looks showroom quality.

Pros: Power, Fuel Economy, Style, Craftsmanship, Fun Factor

Cons: Cargo Room

Camaro Z28 4 1/2th Gen — well come on, its a mustang killer, its fast, gets decent gas mileage, and is almost everything i want in a sports car. Top speed clocked 163mph. 0-60 5.25 seconds. Bought it with 77k miles on it, i have about 83k on it now, absolutely zero problems with anything. Other than changing my oil I've done relatively little maintenance to it save washing/waxing it and babying it.

Pros: mustang gt/wrx killer. fast as hell. 21 city/28 highway mpg. chick magnet

Cons: micro backseat, cop magnet, low ground clearance, hard to work on engine

My Car —

Well, what can I say? Its a Camaro. Sure, its not the big ol 5.7 V8, but for a V6 it can go pretty quick. Gas mileage isnt terrible. 19 city 31 highway. That just means I have to drive a bit faster. Its probably got around 230 hp after all my modifications to it. I put on a K&N Cold Air Intake, and a Flowmaster 80 Series Crossflow Dual Tip exhaust sytem. And its suprisingly loud for a V6. A lot of people ask me if I have a V8 in there when Im at a stoplight. Its a nice, clean white body with 30% tint on the windows. Its sexy. As for repairs, the only big ones were the differential (because the guy who owned the car previously had barely and fluid in the diff and the gears were grinding down) and the fuel pump, which is a pretty standard repair on a car with over 100,000 miles on it. I love this car. I love looking at it, I love sitting in it, I love driving it, and I especially love opening up the throttle on the highway to hear that exhaust as I fly down the road. Its amazing.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Gas Mileage and Insurance
