Style Mixed With Performance, Mixed With Joy To Drive — I've had the car almost a year now, upgrading from a 1999 323i and I have a hard time seeing any room for improvement in my price range. It is by far one of the most beautiful cars on the road, and also one of the better performing.

Pros: 184 horsepower, black leather interiror, bmw performance, angel eyes, clear corners, m-technic front bumper

    Cons: none

Love It Mate — A good car for young people. Nice looks, well you know bout BMW. But the 1,8l engine is not powerful enough, if you want to look for more power, buy the 320, the tiptronic transmition is not responsive though.

Pros: Great Looks, handling is nice, reliable (make sure you service it regularly)

    Cons: Not powerful enough

Well Built And Fun To Drive — Owned for over a year with not a blott in its book. Always a joy to get in and travel near or far with enough go to make even the boring trips a pleasure to get to.

Pros: Timeless looks and great all round performance

Cons: Only fuel costs as its such a joy to drive, but 35mpg can be had on a run.

Great Driving Car — At first I was apprehensive about stepping up to a BMW. But after being convinced that is was more than a good looking car by friends of mine who know cars, I jumped in and bought my first BMW. It has turned out to be a super fun car to drive. I look forward to driving it each day. And don't worry about what people thing. If anything, they are just wishing they were driving your car. Drive the car. You will fall in love. Buy it. You will never regret it.

Great Car — This car is an excellent drive with great features. A little pricy for the bells and whistles, but I like it overall.

Two Thumbs Up. — I thoroughly love and enjoy driving this car, there is not much to dislike if you are willing to spend $$ for maintenance. It handles well on the road and is very intuitive. Looks great, drives great! That's about all I have to say.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: SUPER fun to drive and is the most comfortable car I've ever ridden in.Amazing Pick up and very easy to handle.

Cons: Spendy maintenance and mediocre gas mileage but that is the obvious trade-off for owning a spectacular car.

Beautiful Fun Car — white, red leather interior, handles great and good power, just a few things that i need to work on on the car are headliner, interior squeaks when going over bumps. but car is a lot of fun and has had no problems in the 3500 miles since i bought it.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: handling

Cons: expensive repairs if not done by yourself

Looks Aren't Anything When It Comes To Total Hassle — I looked for a long time for this era of car, loving the styling of it more than newer ones, wanting white/gray. Also too bad I just didn't take to the internet with this car to look up inherent problems. Because I would NOT have bought it had I done that one simple thing. Oy Vey!!! Where do I begin? First - the Pros since they are few compared to the Cons. Looks great! Drives great! Nice amount of room inside, fairly good size trunk. Cons - Gas hog, oil hog, parts hog, sensor hog...you name it, you'll probably end up fixing or replacing by the time you decide to do yourself a favor and just ditch it before it eats up your savings. If this car was purchased new, or close to new - it would have probably been ok, although there are probs with the transmission so BEWARE - the reverse can go out at any mileage...yessiree it does and mine did! Within a few months or purchase I had to buy all new oxygen sensors - All 4 to the tune of $800 + labor. Now the outside thermometer is done for, and the air con will not come on as a result. Found a YouTube vid so repairing myself. Just know - the 'check engine light' being on is a pretty light to accompany you at most times, whether you just had it checked and reset or not. All sensors affect all the systems, so gone are the good old days of the quality BMW build where you did not have to fix everything right away. Pre 1990 BMWs are the BEST!!! And I'm sure some of the newer models are good - it's just that things like the clips for the door trim, for example, are all plastic - so they do not last. Yes, I bought it as a 10 yr old car, but make no mistake - cars are NOT built to last like the old days. Looking for a 1985 5 series. They rock. My daughter drives my mom's old one and it is a trooper...like ALL BMWs used to be. Shine this model on - WAY on....

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Looks Good, Drives Like A Race Car, Lots of Power

Cons: Build  = Two Thumbs Down, Constant Sensor Problems, Check Engine Light Always On - whether you just had it checked out and reset...

Luv It! — Is dechromed, 17" msport wheels, alacantara seats, manual, smoooooth, rear parking sensors, Love it. Has good sound system also but currently only single CD. All that's missing is an inbuilt satnav and also CD changer. Solid german reliability. Can't go wrong. Having owned a 7, 5 and now 3 series, the 7 was pure luxury, the 5 E34 was as solid as they come and super smooth, but admittedly for sheer driving dynamics and all round quality, it has to be the 3. Now that i'm used to the power delivery from this 2.2 straight 6, need to go higher.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Build quality

Cons: Can be expensive to maintain but it's worth it. Fuel consumption is not low! :)
