Black Audi A4 1.8t — ha well this car was just another car... the car was really slow but it looked cool and had good heated seats and stuff... one thing that was bad about it was that the heating didnt work in it though... but ya it was a very luxurious car; just not so fast. also it was good in and out of traffic so that was a plus

Pros: looks

Cons: acceleration

A4 — This was actually the car that i learned how to drive on. The quattro system is the best in the buisness you never seem to lose control. The build quality is untouchable and the look is classic forever. However the reliability factor is just aweful. I only had the car for five months and in that five months i had to pay 700 for rear ball bearings. 300 for a new engine oil dipstick and assembly. and another 400-500 for some more seals.

Pros: build quality

Cons: reliability  turbo lag

Overall, I'm An Audi Fan. —

I’ve pretty much become a permanent Audi fan. This car has great performance and power, with most of the luxury features I want in a car. It is a 2001 model though, so some of the newer technologies were not readily available. Overall, it rides well, the quality is good, it looks nice, and is great to drive. I like the speed, the turn radius, and the dashboard amenities. There is lots of good digital information on the instrument panel, even telling me how many miles I have left on my tank, as I push it to the 0 miles left limit. My disappointments are minimal but are present. I don’t like the trunk portion of the body style. The squared trunk disappeared, I think, around the 2003-2004 model, which was a great improvement. The rims have a disc in the middle with the Audi symbol, and they chipped really easily. Also the rims collect excessive brake dust. The sound system was a little disappointing. First of all I got too early of a version to get the standard in-dash CD changer like the later models. Also, there’s no Aux jack for my iPod, but this was probably not a thought in 2001. Also, I was most disappointed with my Bose speakers which have rattled since day 1 or purchase. The leather seats are nice, but tell me why they are the only things in the car that are not powered. They are heated and have a powered lumbar support, but have this ancient and cumbersome wheel that is used to tilt the seat, and a difficult to operate slide adjuster to move the seat back and forward. Finally, if you want German engineering, you’re going to pay for it. When this car does need fixing, it’s going to cost you. Thank God for credit cards and a good job.

Pros: Power and Performance, Turn radius, heated leather seats, Nice instrument panel, Good solid quality car.

Cons: No CD changer, no aux jack, rims chip easily, too much brake dust, rattling "Bose" speakers, non-powered seats, expensive maintenance, requires 92 Octane gas or higher.

Hans Van Audi — Its all wheel drive turbo whats more to ask. Its very quite on the road and out handles alot of the cars that I have driven. Who doesn't like a dubbed out euro car. The 1.8T could use some power upgrades but I bought this car to build it up so big turbo is in his future. I call him Hans Van Audi.

Pros: Iconic styling from the Germans and built to be a freeway missle.

Cons: Rear leg room.

High Performance, But High Maintenance — Great modding 'potential'. Too many reliability issues to explore that potential. The following on the 1.8T engine is incredible, and the help from the forums on www.audizine.com allowed me to fix most problems myself. If i kept the car I would have installed a full GT35r turbo w/ Unitronics tune. But at the time I sold it, I only had the full 2.25" Borla exhaust, Dahlback race software (AMAZING!!!!), upgraded brakes/rotors, 18" B5 RS4's, 6000k HIDs and a few other mods. I wouldnt recommend buying this car if you dont have a disposable income.

Pros: Incredible modding potential, I recieved compliments about it ALL the time.

Cons: Too many gremlins. Spent more on repairs than I did on the car.

Audi A4 2.0 Se 2001 '51' Reg — This car was great - it had full leather interior, walnut trim, dual zone air con, engine power was adequate, not very sporty tho' in stock 2.0 form, rear parking sensors. Had good build quality, the best looking car I had owned. Servicing was expensive though. The car was easy to drive with a manual gearbox.

Pros: looks, build quality

Cons: running costs

Audi A4 1.8t Quattro (sedan) — For those of us who enjoy the finer things in life. Overall the A4 is a pretty good car except I wish I had gotten an manual instead of the tip-tronic. The acceleration is alright. Braking is very good and I just got new rear brakes, I guess I'm hard on the brakes and gas. I love the color and couldn't have imagine have a different color. Gas mileage is not bad, but seems like it should be better of a 1.8 L. Fun around corners and on the highway, but you're not going to beat anyone in a drag race with this. This car is AWD which is really nice when you think about Iowa weather. The handling is exceptional, very good suspension. In conclusion the the pros out-weight the the cons.

Pros: Great handling and looks (AWD).

Cons: Acceleration (because it is an automatic).

Audi A4 - Love It & Hate It — I love the way my car looks, feels & drives. I chipped it & upgraded the intake & suspension so it feels better while going faster. The only thing that keeps getting to me about it is how temperamental it can be -- I feel like I have to take it in to get something or other fixed every few months. And, being a German car, those repairs are NEVER cheap unfortunately!

It's A Nice Car But... — Since purchasing this vehicle in March of 2006 I have dropped quite a few fun coupons into it. After speaking with a representative from Audi's corporate offices about the expensive upkeep and maintenance I will never purchase another Audi product.

Pros: Look
Quality of materials (interior)

Cons: high maintenance costs
negligent corporate support

Great Car Under Warranty. — Nice car to look at, expensive to repair. Don't keep it after the warranty runs out.

Pros: Styling, engine, fun to drive.

Cons: Major problems when warranty ran out.  Expensive to repair.
