Golf: The Sporty Hatchback — I took one out and could tell it was having some engine trouble. If you find one in good condition I wouldn't tell you to buy it... then again I would be hard pressed to tell you not to buy it. It's good around town and is still fun enough to keep you from getting bored (if you're that sort of person). It's also pretty comfortable for a sporty hatchback. BUT if you really want to get a Golf or Golf GTI I would really suggest picking another year than 2000-2006. Of course you COULD just pick one without the 1.8 liter turbo engine- but that wouldn't be any fun. Pros: pretty comfrotable, sporty, fun and still an everyday car Cons: 1.8 Turbo engine is known to have some problems. |
