Cute Looking Car — I love the look of the 00 celica but the parts are not my favorite. Parts are hard to find and expensive. So is having work done on my car.

Fun Car To Drive. — Fun car to drive. A little light on icey roads. Low profile tires cupped and caused a noisy ride. Comfortable cockpit. Sporty styling. Good reliability. Overall very happy with.

It's Been A Good Ride... — I had owned this car over 7 years and have no complaints. This car had been getting better gas mileage than reported by the manufacturer. I have never seen my MPG lower than 27 and was recording 32MPG on mainly highway trips (have seen it as high as 34!). Since it's a GT-S, I had ALWAYS filled her up with premium unleaded gasoline. This model was a BLAST to drive with it's "sport-shift" transmission.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Accelleration, handling, comfort, MPG

Cons: Premium gasoline required, clear coat peeling off

    2000 Toyota Celica Gt-s —

The first year this car was made 2000 the horsepower was underrated. Dealerships stated 180hp when in reality it was 190 because of the Japanese ECU. In 2001 a different ECU was used and bumped the horsepower down. - Overall, it was a great car and handled like a charm. - Modifying was cheap and relatively easy. - Gas mileage is great about 34/25 - Power is lacking but is easily upgradeable. PERFORMANCE: Acceleration for its class is great. Braking is good, especially with optional ABS. Handling is great especially with a little customization. BUILD: Build quality is average like any Japanese car. There were some rattles, interior trim. Replaced clutch at 50k and used synthetic oil. STYLING: This is a matter of opinion, but I thought the look and feel of the car was amazing and it will never look "old" like other models. Interior is great, especially the seats. COST: Gas mileage was great about 34/25 oil changes were about $100. FUN: Absolutely. This car is great to throw into a corner and feel it stick. Very light weight and agile. Engine screams starting at 6k rpm when Variable Valve Timing with LIFT kicks in. Also sounded great with my Borla exhaust.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Handling/Looks

    Cons: Transmission
