If Your Aint Runnin Turbo Your Smelling My Exhaust — i have had a prelude si and a turbo plymouth lazer and all i can say is this car WHIPS! i put an aem cold air intake recently and i cant get enough of the roar that comes from 6200-8000 rpm. i got a clocked 0-60 at 7 flat rite now but i aint done yet. if anyone is bouncing around from take off. i would go with Tokico hp gas shocks struts. on a highway stand point ive hit 145 mph and i feel confident i can go over 150. i have nothing bad to say about this car except 80-0 stop. sometimes i feel like i aint going to stop in time during street races. my proudest victory was against a tsi talon. but ive dominated the mustys, some marrows, and mostly all civics so if yall aint got turbo youll be smelling my exhaust.TRD ROCKS

Pretty Nice Car, Feels Solid — The car is a nice car no doubt. Brakes are strong, body seems rigid. I havent pushed one of these to the limit but in the driving I have in one of these it has been fun.

    Pros: Light, solid, quick.

    Cons: Not many.

A Shame That Toyota Stopped Making The Celica Because This Really Is A Gem. —

The Gen 7 Celica is the last decent sports coupe that Toyota made. The engine is something else with it's cam profiles. Drive it normally and it's quiet, smooth and delivers a good MPG, but take the rev counter to the top quarter and it starts to snarl and wail like a banshee. 140 BHP squeezed from a NA 1800cc engine is pretty good. The cabin is a bit dull, but doesn't offend. Everything is well screwed together with no squeeks or rattles coming from the trims. This car does look the part as long as it has the rear spoiler and optional side skirts (which mine does) and they set the style really well. Modern yet subtle. It's not a shouty car unless of course, you plant your foot down onto the throttle pedal. It's sharp and responsive normally in stock form but there's plenty of potential for springs and engine parts to be replaced with uprated parts (if that's your thing) Big boot so getting a large load transported isn't a problem and up front, there is loads of space. Just don't get in the back unless you're shorter than 5ft tall. Believe me, you are not going to fit!

Pros: Brilliant engine - 2 different cam profiles depending on revs give it a real "Jeckel and Hyde" persona.
    Bomb proof engineering and realiability.
    Looks great and sounds brilliant

Cons: Very little space in the back for passengers.
Doesn't have a true "rally spec" like the Gen 6 ST205 in the line up
Handling could have a little less understeer - bit slippery in the wet

Wait For The Lift At 6,500rpm... — This is the 190hbp VVTLi model, Japenese import so has Alacante trim (suede) climate control and electric folding mirrors which the UK equivalents didn't have. I have driven my fair share of cars including powerful sports cars, and I must say this is a pleasure to drive and gives me a fantastic smile every time I take it out for a spin, its a gorgeous car and I love it :)

Pros: Speed, handling, comfort, looks, reliability.

Cons: Moderately hard ride but worth it for the cornering! Import so can be tricky getting the right parts now and then.

Cute Looking Car — I love the look of the 00 celica but the parts are not my favorite. Parts are hard to find and expensive. So is having work done on my car.

Fun Car To Drive. — Fun car to drive. A little light on icey roads. Low profile tires cupped and caused a noisy ride. Comfortable cockpit. Sporty styling. Good reliability. Overall very happy with.
