As Usual, Ok Interior...terrible Reliablility Typical Gm! — This is not a car built for long distance driving but more for city driving. Even for that, the car was full of problems after two years of ownership. Once the warranty ran out it got worst. My maintenance and repair costs went off the roof to the point that I almost just left the car in the garage to buy a new one (which I did anyways a few weeks afer that. The only 3 good things I can say about this car was that it always started in the cold Quebec winters , gas milage was decent and the interior was ok. Although you sat very low to drive.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Low gas milage at the time, started every cold winter, ok interior

    Cons: Everything else....

Get It. — THis thing performed pretty well for a Saturn. It was a great car. It looked absolutely beautiful, and had fantastic gas mileage, which made it cheap. I guess it was kind of fun to drive. I would still have it if I wasn't such an idiot and wrecked it.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Gas mileage is great.

Cons: I can't think of oine

Safe And Nice To Drive, Worth It. — I loved my Saturn. It was a wagon, yea, granny car... but it got me around. Nearly 40/gal, Smooth ride. Super performance for a 1.9 4c. I wish i still had that car sometimes. I only ever had one problem with it. Too bad, so a good car. Had power everything, comfy, economic.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The best for the ride, long trips, Great on gas, good in bad weather, awesome

Cons: Coolant system can leak. Car is all plastic

Besides It Turning Into A Slight Rattlebox After 100000 Miles, It Is A Great Car — Runs great have had it for 40000 miles, Twin Cam is relatively peppy with a few mods, fresh air intake, trick the air temp sensor and hotter plugs and wires. Quick handling, has stabilizer bars on the top and bottom of the chassis.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great fuel economy, quick, body looks new forever.

    Cons: none`

    Pros: great gas mileage

Cons: suck down oil and stock brakes suck

2000 Sl-2 — 100+ ft lb torque and 125 horses with a 2500 lb.car is more than enough power, matched with a 5 speed I can get 43 mpg hwy. Haven't taken any long trips yet so hope to up the mileage. It's a nice little car, not fancy, but, hey if I wanted fancy I would have bought something else. Just wish GM would have kept their fingers out of Saturn, maybe cars like these would still be available. (less expensive, good performing, reliable & durable) Bought mine in '07 at 64,000 miles & know 200,000 is doable, shooting for 250,000+. If I had the cash, I'd get another one for when this one finally wears out!

Pros: Good Milage, Durability, Fun to drive, Easy to maintain, Comfortable enough, Adjustable driver's seat.

Cons: Passenger seat (& driver's seat in other SLs) is getting kinda low for us middle aged folks.

My 2000 Saturn Sc2 — handling is excellent, brakes on a dime. little rust at acceleration on the lower end, but very nice on top end. i havnt had any problems with this car, change the oil every 3000 and check all the other fluids, and she still runs like a champ! she is pretty clean inside and out aside from a few of the normal rock chips on the exterior. shes get 36 city and 40 hwy mpg, definatly helps with the bank account! overall satty is a very fun car to own and drive, only 2 things could make her better and that would be a manual tranny and a sunroof.

    Pros: great handling and mileage!

    Cons: no sun roof!

Pretty Decent For A 4-banger — Gets decent gas mileage, been reliable, parts are fairly low cost for the most part, pretty decent acceleration for a 4-cylinder car, steering is pretty responsive, when it needed repairs they were pretty easy to perform myself, the car looks pretty decent, the only thing I really dislike is some of the interior components are kinda cheap, but not too cheap to keep me away from buying another one. And the car is definitely safe.

Pros: MPG, safety, cost of ownership

Cons: Interior could be a little more upscale

Sassy Was Perfect — I had a gold 2000, Saturn S-Series. I had won a law suit, because I had gotten hit by a truck, and when I was able to get my bearings again, which happened 6years later. I bought a car. A new car. I deserved something new. I already had someone else junk ie. the Ford Maverick, now it was time for me to get something new. I incurred the Ford Maverick by getting hit by a car, now I got this by getting hit by a truck, how ironic huh?

Pros: The body was gold, like money

Cons: I ran out of my settlement money, and therefore I had to turn it the car...I didn't have anyone to help me take care of it, and I had to resell it back to the dealer....I guess it was only temporary as we are here on this earth. I cheated death twice....and went to heaven once.....it is beautiful there...it is so peaceful.....I felt so peaceful.....but didn't see anyone...I could hear and talk....but there was no one there to meet me...because it wasn't me time....
