My Car — Liked it as I had been given a chance to learn in a silver version of it. It's good for intermediate journeys and shorter ones with it's smaller engine. Great for transporting things as there is alot of space in the back (with Steve's drum kit and all the furniture we've needed to put in it, it becomes very useful!).

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It's makes great progression through gears. I just fly-by!

Cons: Some sort of manufacturing fault with the engine - fixed in ours but might be there if you buy one.

Its A Fairly Crap Car, Only Got It Because It Was Cheap And A Decent Size! — rover 25 was preeeety crap, everytime i got in the car something fell off or snapped... it couldnt get up hills with just me in the car, let alone anything on anyone else. it ate fuel well too, so it cost alot. and it couldnt get past about 75 without screaming at me and feeling like it was about to fall into a million pieces!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: it was cheap and ok sized

Cons: everything on it brakes

Rovers Are Cheap, You Get What You Pay For — squeeks, rattles, doesn't start sometimes, takes a beating tho, mine has done 68000 miles without a head gasket tho. average 40 mpg. its not that exciting to drive, 1.4 engine will do around 120 mph but screams like mad once its there.

Pros: cheap

Cons: its a rover

Not all units were carried over from the "bubble 200" range - the 1.4 litre 84BHP unit is new for the 25, the lower power output being achieved by a restricted throttle body. I'd recommend the 103BHP ... Read More
