2000 Grand Prix Se — 2000 grand prix 3.1 v6. This was a very good first car. It went through a lot. Got rid of it because it started having transmission problems for the second time in a year. It also had emissions control problems. The air pump system needed a much better design. I ended up taking it off and basically turned it into an exhaust pipe out the front of the car. but it drove real well, hauled people real well, and always got me where i needed to go. the engine held together despite tranny and emissions problems happening simultaneously. The interior never failed me and the stock stereo system always did more than good. The 3.1 was good but it was no 3.8

Pros: went through a lot, built in the USA, great first car

Cons: the transmission forced me to get rid of it

I Would Give This Car A Solid 4/five — Very nice car. Pretty quality car... paint job not the greatest. Rusting through in some spots but it's been driven every winter ofit's existance *shrug* Put some flowmaster super 44's on her and a panel KnN air filter. Would like to go w/ the KnN cold air for the right price >100$

Pros: Great in winter, has quite a bit get up n go ifu will

Cons: nnnot much. It's heavy 3600lbs but helps in winter

My Pontiac — awsome power and handling. breaking is excellent, the only problem I have with the build is the intake manifold gasket. Interior and exterior are very stylish. cost is worth it. Holds its cost well! Gas milage for a 10 year old car still competes with the newer models! This car is like driving a racecar...AWSOME!

Pros: The Power and gas milage

Cons: intake manifold has to be redone every 80k miles

Good — I like my car because its fast cool looking but also gets good gas mileage and you can do little things to it to make it last a little longer but not be too over the top about it. I put plugs and wires on my car and instantly I added about 6 more miles a gallon.

Pros: very comfy, right amount of space

Cons: its not very sturdy to everything

Daytona 500 —

The daytona 500 is the most prestigious race in the history of NASCAR. So when i wrecked my GTP and found a GTP Daytona 500 Edition, I had to have it. With 240 horsepower and a performance shift option, this car SCREAMS down the road. The transmission is the 4T65e and ive never had a problem with it. The braking is good but pontiac needs to figure out the brake dust issue (on all pontiacs not just mine). The handling is great. The build quality is great. The exterior is very aggressive. The interior is amazing. All leather with power and heated drivers seat, floor shift, heads up display, and a great stereo. The stereo is completely factory with 8 speaker Bose system with a factory amp in the trunk. The cost of ownership isnt that bad. Its getting about 26.4 mpg with the supercharger belt off. Yes the belt is off. My dad said not a chance. Plus I get to run Regular gas in my car. Maintenance is easy and affordable as well. Fun? Um yeah this car is a blast. WV6 Daytona 500 Pace Car Replica Package: -Unique 3 Spoke High Polished Aluminum Wheels -Daytona 500 Edition Rear Spoiler and Exhaust Tips -Daytona 500 Edition Heat Extractors on Hood -Nascar Style Roof Fences -Daytona 500 Edition Front Seats with Special Instrument and Console Trim -Daytona 500 Edition Ext. Decal -Galaxy Silver Metallic Ext. Paint

Pros: Pace Car Replica, performance, fun, quality, appearance

Cons: nothing

Sweet Car — This is an excellent car. the shift option gives you the choice of go like stink or coast and get good gas mileage. the wide wheel base makes the car hug the road even at high speeds. so far no repairs and runs sweet for 180 km. the style of the car looks sweet all aroun. the interior is comfortable as hell, plenty of room front and back and a huge trunk that can fit 4 dead bodies. on a scale of 1 to 10..... get one. NOW!

Pros: comfort, control, speed, and just plain sweet

Cons: none

'00 Pontiac Grand Prix — Performance- Acceleration: had plenty of get up and go braking: terrible. it was fighting tooth and nail just to get it to stop soon enough. in other words, if you weren't paying attention, and needed to slam on your brakes, you might end up in a rear collision. Handling: i found it rather had a mind of it's own and you kind of had to fight to keep control. Build Quality- it seemed to hold up to the brutality of little children in the backseat Appearance- Interior: eh, it was decent. It was outdated but hey, it's 9 years old. give it a break. really curvy though, not many sharp lines. Exterior: headlights are nice, they look sporty, but the taillights looks more like they belong on the face of a fly. no kudos for the taillights; sorry. Cost- gas: i'm not really sure, the fuel gage didn't work so i couldn't tell the mileage maintenance: my aunt didn't seem to have many problems with it except for the fuel gage. Fun Factor- it's rather boring, i almost fell asleep twice.

Pros: For as old as it is, it had some nice features on the dash- including how many miles left to go until empty, oil life, etc...

Cons: braking and steering are poor.

2000 Grand Prix Gt — I absolutly love my Grand Prix, but I think pontiac might have skipped over the GT's transmision a little bit. I have noticed that when i got over 100k miles it started to slip and jam into gear a little more. But this was fixed after changing the tranny fluid. Overall a great car, amount of car for the money is amazing, not to mention that the car was/is beautiful!

Pros: Look, Handling, Performance, and Comfort

Cons: Watch out for the intake gaskets, dont buy a dirty one!

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly Ona 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Gtp Sedan —

Performance; for a 3.8L supercharged sedan, it will launch fairly well, shifts nicely and can run up to desired speed quickly. Breaking is handled well once you upgrade to a slightly more aggressive pad. The major downfall with the performance side of the GTP is the handling, it is soft, with quite a large amount of body roll for a "performance" sedan. Build Quality; As with any modern American car it seems the list of squeaks and rattles could be almost endless. On the repair end, I must say that I have had to rebuild the transmission twice in the last year and a half. The second time, was six months after the first, and the clutch packs had hardly had a chance to break-in. Appearance; For a car designed in the late 90's it still looks great with more modern cars on the road today. The interior could have been laid out a little better, but overall, it is a pretty well designed car. Cost of ownership; This is where my real problem has been, each transmission was about $1400 to rebuild. Gas mileage is horrid in the city, and considering that is where most of my driving takes place, this is not a good thing. City mileage tends to hold stead around 19 mpg, but this can be redeemed if you do a fair amount of highway driving, because then the engine comes into it's own, and runs very economically averaging around 28 - 30 mpg. Which for a V6 at 75+ mph, is pretty good.

Pros: Supercharged, Highway fuel mileage

Cons: Transmission, build quality, city fuel mileage
