2000 Mercury Cougar — Love the performance, acceleration is excellent for a small six cylinder, braking is tight and very responsive, and the handling is great. Minor rattles, but the car is almost 10 years old, to be expected. Interior is nice, foldaway cupholder is good, although the design of such is weak. Exterior styling is gorgeous, fluid lines, looks like she's moving when she's sitting still. Cost of ownership is minimal, mileage is decent, and maintenance isn't overly expensive. Overall, the sleekest, sexiest machine I've ever owned or driven, and I love driving it. Doesn't hurt that she attracts attention everywhere we go. I'd recommend this car to anyone, but they haven't made them since 2002, so they're harder to find.

Pros: Performance, build quality, appearance, fun factor

Cons: Front wheel drive, should be rear wheel drive

I Love This Car — This car has the most power out of my vehicles, it has some good gidy-up-and-go. I has geen a good car for me. I've only spent money on the extras, no problems. This car is Really fun to Drive. The Stereo has nice sound, factory. It has good trunk space.

Pros: Goes Fast. Good power. Great gas mileage.  Chick Magnet

Cons: LIttle higher miles, so my dad won't let me put performance parts in the engine. Only a V-6.  Low first gear

2000 Mercury Cougar Advise — I love my cougar. I just bought it and let me tell you..they are EXPENSIVE to fix. I happen to have many helpful friends in the automotive industry so I have a few tips. NEVER get your clutch fixed through ford. Unless you work their or have a friend there..it'll run you around $2100 to fix..ridiculous right?! also,if you have trouble with the alternator, get the wires checked first(they are knows to go) before replacing it.If it isnt your wires, trying getting the brushes replaced. Also, change your fuel filter often.Mine was 83% clogged when I bought it. Anyways, other then the $2200 in maintanence, its a great car.

    Pros: nice looking, lotsa space

Cons: lots of attention needed..not for the weak ;)

Great Chick Car — Interior is light and dark grey, exterior is cherry red, automatic transmission, 2.5 V6 engine.

Pros: fast, drivable in winter, AC, have not had one problem with the engine, I also love the fact that there is not alot of Cougars out there!

Cons: she likes her gas...that is the only disadvantage of  a V6. I also have a slight (nothing serious) tansmission fulid leak.
