Great Buy — This was a 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 4x4. It had the 4.0L I6 with a cold air intake, throttle body spacer, oversize tires, 2" lift, brush guard, roof rack, off road lighting, halo projector headlights, in dash dvd player, after market speakers, and heated leather. The 4x4 was superb. Rarely gets stuck and the motor will outlast the vehicle for sure. These things are unstoppable.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great in all conditions.  Never quits on you.

Cons: Bit of a gas guzzler.

Good Overall Car, Especially For The Money. — Great vehicle with good styling and durable construction. Build quality (particularly the interior trim) leaves something the be desired in terms of durability, but this Jeep is nearly indestructable in terms of drivetrain and mechanicals and will drive on after some of the most punishing conditions or partial failures. An excellent workhorse and dependable vehicle.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Heavy-duty build on most drivetrain and mechanicals

Cons: Repeated premature brake failures, bad calipers, interior trim poorly built, makes lots of noise.

Love It — Best car I've ever owned. Does amazing both off road and on road. Plows through the snow with ease, and is extremely comfortable on long trips. Just had to replace the heater core but other than that no problems. V8 has more than enough power.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Everything. Tons of power with the v8

Cons: Heater core

Sweet V8 Power — V8 power is amazing and will snap your neck back anytime. tweak the tms and it will smoke all 4 tires. if your looking for a suv that is a gas sipper go buy a honda. if you want awesome power and nice comfy leather with heated seats that will burn your ass buy one. 137,500 miles and the transmission is still perfect even if everyone says they are crap.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: starts everyday runs perfect even with 9,000 miles between oil changes

Cons: windshield wipers streak

Jeep Grand Cherokee — this truck is pretty nice. plenty of power and the handling isnt bad for a truck i am very comfortable with the interior. it has everything i need. the plastic bumpers kinda suck because they are faded and ashy looking. gas mileage is better than the epa estimate of 21 highway. more like 23 highway. but the city really kills it so i get like 17 overall

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: powerful, roomy, 4wd is nice, good offroad skills

Cons: gas mileage in the city

Beware!!! — I used to like Jeeps because of it's durability, reliability, and simplicity in design. I've owned a 1985 CJ and have a 1955 Willys Pickup. Awesome trucks. My newer Jeep is built by Dodge so, following the Dodge/Chrysler tradition, the Jeep does nothing less than fall apart, break down, wear out... you get the picture...? The engine has been rebuilt once, tie rod ends replaced twice, every door locker has been replaced plus one window motor mechanism... I would not buy another one!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It has the Jeep name.

Cons: Poor design...

It Was A Great Car, And Probably The Reason I Sold My Grandprix Later To Get The Liberty — It was a great car, but around 140k miles, there was an oil leak that would cost over a thousand dollars to fix, so I just sold it, that, and also because of the $4 gas prices, but it was a great first car

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Still drove like new even after 140k miles

Cons: Gas Milage but it is an SUV afterall

My Jeep Grand Cherokee — I love my car's scceleration performance. It's got a great engine, 4.0L Iniline 6. I have custom pinstripes on the side, a batman logo on the hood and custom black paint on the bottom. It's fun to drive, doesn't get horrible gas mileage and has normally pretty easy maintenance. It could def use a waxing. I need a few minor repairs to the door panel. Overall its a great car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Acceleration, maintenance, looooookkks.

Cons: Transmission leak.

It Is Smooth, and Safty It Also Has Luxury, Utility, and Power. — This car is reliable, powerful, safe, relatively good handling, good utility, and somewhat good fuel economy. This jeep with the 4.0L I6 is very smooth very responsive and has respectable power, even better on the freway. The body roll doesn't inspire fast cornering but is capiable of fast cornering, the steering doesn't have much feel and is light at low speeds, but nicely weighted at higher speeds.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: good interior, safe, powerful, relatively good handling, touchy gas pedal.

Cons: barely any steering feel, very soft brakes, and touchy gas pedal.

Wj Grand Cherokee, Last Jeep Wagon With Solid Axles And The Legendary 4.0 I6 — Performance is great, the Legendary 4.0 is just an amazing engine. very reliable, and torquey, plenty of power, and reasonable gas mileage. The interior is extremely high quality for a Chrysler product. I've never had much trouble with Jeep interiors, but this one takes the 1st prize. The ride quality is also very smooth. For a solid axle Jeep 4x4, it rides very nice. It actually rides a lot smoother than my buddy's 4x4 Liberty with IFS. I think it's one of the best looking Grand Cherokees, the only thing I don't like visually is how low the gas tank hangs, to accommodate the spare being under the rear floorboard. Like I said, reasonable mileage, I can get 22 or so on the highway, and up to 18 on the streets, though I usually don't. It's a blast off road, the full time 4wd option makes it great in foul weather, it's an awesome Jeep I definitely recommend it over any other mid-size SUV in it's class.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Quality Jeep product I'd reccomend for anyone.

Cons: Plastic bumpers are kind of troublesome.
