265,000 Miles And Still Going! — This has been a great car for me....have just done the recommended preventive maintenance on schedule and changed the oil every 3,000 miles. It still drives very smoothly and we take it on road trips all over the country.

Pros: smooth, quick for s 4-cylinder, durable...most people can't believe it has over 250K miles and still going strong.

Cons: My only real gripe is that the sunroof control is to the left of the steering wheel where only the driver can reach it....they should have put it up overhead like everyone else does.

Prime Example Of What A Family Sedan Should Be —

While I listed that I "drove" this car I've actually had a good deal of experience with it as it was mom's car and I had plenty of access to it up until I moved away. First, in terms of performance, while my Civic is quicker to stop and more manueverable the Accord balances these out with much better speed with having around 60 more horsepower, giving it a proportionately larger boost in power than size and weight. There have been times where after driving my car for a while I'd drive the Accord and not be watching the speedometer close enough and find myself at 80-85 at the point I would've been finally reaching 65 on my old Civic. The quality I had to rate it a notch below "Solid" because while it is still a very reliable car I've lost track of the number of recalls it's had. If you're looking to buy this year Accord I can't stress enough that you should reserach the recalls and make sure they're fixed before purchasing a 2000 Accord. Once they've been fixed you have absolutely nothing to worry about though, unless the car's been horribly abused in which case no badly abused car is a good buy anyway. For appearance, "Gorgeous" is not good enough. The family car was silver, and when parked next to far more expensive cars I can honestly say I still though the Accord looked nicer. In my opinion it's a family car with more visual appeal than most luxury or sports cars. Once again, "Love it" was not good enough for an impression. It's the roomiest and most comfortable mid-sized car I've been in, it has a very efficient engine that pumps out some nice speed an acceleration without pumping too much gas into the engine, and while you certainly can't weld the hood shut and drive it the rest of your life like Honda's commercial claimed it's still a very reliable car. For newer cars I may be most impressed with Saturn's showing, but for it's generation I'm willing to bet there was no better midsized car built than the Honda Accord.

Pros: Roomy, comfortable, hauls ass, great on gas

Cons: While still very reliable, large number of recalls suggest it's not up to the typical Honda standards

Variation On A Theme... And Success Was Achieved — Absolute wonderful car for any college student, or budget conscious career person that needs a daily commutier that they can count on. Nothing describes these needs more than the Accord. Looks don't quite kill, but they do entertain, and frankly one of the more ACURA provoked designs involved made this truly a fun car. Not to mention that transporting tall and numerous guests was a sheer pleasure for everyone.

Pros: Stunning city performer.

Cons: Not a status symbol

Reliable, Solid, Fits The Whole Family And Will Always Be A Part Of It. — Despite years of poor management (missed oil changes, old brake pads, poor alignment) and cross country driving in college, Roger has taken all we have thrown at him and come back for more. One trip to the garage to fix our mistakes and he's good as new. Our dogs love riding in the back because they know it's park time when that happens, and with over 120k miles, he's still going strong.

Pros: Maintenance costs, reliability, size, best accord design (appearance wise) ever

Cons: No cons! We love him!

Its A Honda — As with any Honda, pure reliability. Its V-TEC engine cranks out extra power as needed in higher RPMs.

Pros: V-TEC, Honda reliablility

Just Another Accord I Guess. — Not the best of Accords. They have come a long way. The one I drove was pretty much a dud and has since died.

Pros: Fuel Economy
5-Speed Manual
Cargo Space

Cons: Burned Oil
Engine Needed to work hard to get to power

Good Car. There Are Alot Of Aftermarket Parts — this is a good car . there are alot of things that can be done to them. i am in the proses of doing such things. At 150 horespower acceleration isnt great, but after you do a few mods to it horespower and toruge start lookn pretty good for a SOCH engine

Pros: god car. 2.3 liter vtec

Cons: its a SOHC engine

Great Quality Car Have Had No Trouble With It. — I do not like the way Honda does their electrical. I always want my 12v plug to be on. Also, the throttle body has been cleaned three times since I've had the car. After it is cleaned the throttle response is excellent. I do have problems with my car pulling to the right. I have had three inspections by mechanics and all of them can't fix the problem. But I think the accord is a all-around solid vehicle.
