Great Car Inside And Out. Really A Unique Car. Don't Write It Off Until Your Try It. — Fantastic first car. The 1.27L engine has 85HP and 85ft/lb but really feels like a lot more. This car loves to be thrashed and you really need to rev it high for a fun drive. Red lines at 7500 RPM but after 5000 you have past the power band so there is no point taking it that far. Nice and roomy but the last thing you would want to do is crash. 1 Airbag, despite being a big car the crumple zone is your face

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun to drive and a great 1st car

Cons: After a while you just want a bit more power. Also being a Fiat of that age you are just waiting for it to explode in your face

A Small, Powerful And Reliable Car. Surprisingly Fast. — The Fiat Brava 16V 80SX is a very reliable car. It has a tiny 1.2 litre engine, but is capable of achieving speeds of 90/100mph with no trouble. Unlike a Nissan Micra which begins rattling at only 70mph. The Fiat Brava is surprisingly comfortable to drive, the handling is precise and the braking is sharp. The engine is quiet as expected since it is only a 1.2 Petrol engine. The car does take some time to reach higher speeds, i would say 0-60 in about 14-18 seconds if not more. Being a 2000 model, it has all of the standard fancy features you would expect, Power Steering, ABS, Electric Windows BUT no CD player (arrrgh). The dash is curved, therefore normal CD players cannot be installed in this car, However there are various models that have been made for the Fiat Brava (Kenwood systems - can be found on eBay). The build quality on the car is not so good. The outside door handles are made from rubber, so in cold climatic conditions the rubber on these handles crack and appear unsightly. The cost of replacing each one is around £80, if you ever need to replace it make sure you buy PLASTIC handles because they are more durable. Also the plastic inside is flaky and is peeling off. Inside the car looks good, but the overall the feel of the plastics etc, seems cheap. Slight knocks against objects can cause dents easily (so drive more carefully). Because of the raised back, estimating the distance using the main mirror is tricky. The petrol tank cover can be troublesome to take off and insert back in at first, but you get used to it. The design looks better than many of the cars around at the same price range e.g. Nissan Micra, Ford Fiesta, Mitsubishi Colt etc... Their is large amount of boot space in this car for you to put Sub woofers, Luggage and Plenty of shopping. A lot bigger than a Honda Civic or a Ford. The engine is clearly labeled with images etc so that even a first time driver would be able to figure out the basics. The body is larger than your average small car, but it is just as easy to drive. If I were to sell this car off, I would still consider buying it again in the future. The benefits outweigh the problems.

Pros: Fast, Cheap and Good Looking Car. Has ABS, Power Steering. Very reliable and starts up with no problems in bad weather. Sharp Braking, Large Boot space.

Cons: Build Quality could be better
