Punto Hgt — 1.8 HGT 130 PS, 0-100 km/h - 8,6 s The HGT is completely different from any other Punto in the range, it has the 1.8 litre variable valve timing 130bhp engine from the Fiat Barchetta. In town driving this car is as sedate as you want to make it, it's not jerky on the clutch like many hot hatches and parking is a cinch due to the "city button" which lightens the electrically assisted power steering.

Pros: design inside

Cons: High insurance will put off younger buyers.

Fiat Punto — It's my first, so gotta love it, but if i'm honest its crap. the paint should be red, it's more pink now, The engine rattles, I've had most of it replaced, and when you put your foot down hard, it pauses before doing anything! the best bit is the post fit stereo. But I love it!

Pros: Cheap

Cons: The rest

Spiriti Di Punto Lives On... — Its performs like any other 1.2 car. Lags abit on 3rd unto you have the pedal absolutly floored.. I personally prefer it on 4th. If your doing over 50, expect to hit the car in front and the one behind then do a reversed upside-down scrape to the car on the other lane, that was 300meters away since it gets very wobbly during harsh braking. Built is.. Average.. Appearance (extertior) is.. Cute, more a single mums cars. Interior very basic, very functional. Cheap to run, cheap to buy. Fun drive for those who like small, nippy, 5dr cars.

Pros: Cute Basic looks

Cons: Handling (over 50mph) & Braking

Not A Bad Car — Nice car to drive being the sporting its great having the six speed box (apart from when you have to replace it as there flipping expensive) acceleration is good and handeling is tight (17" wheels it has on may help) whit nice grippy seats to hold you in cheap to run worst ive had out o it so far is 36mpg averages over 40 in the last few months, Not got the same power im used to but as a car for my wife its great and still makes me smile on windy roads.

Pros: great to drive

Cons: passenger side mirror isnt the best for parking

Average — i love the look of my punto, 15"wolfrace alloys, rear window tints. i looks class but after having it for around a year i've had a new clutch slave cylinder, a new clutch and a new head gasket. its been a pain. now its in need of the clutch bleeding and possibly a new master cylinder :(

Pros: looks

Cons: not the most relyable

Does Exactly What It Says On The Tin! — Nice simple little run around. handles relatively well, is not great at accelerating lacks power, but braking performance is creditable. Doesn't require high maintenance. Interior is simple yet effective, gentle on the eyes, my exterior is gold, bit noticable - "hairdressers car" my mates reckon! Fuel efficiency is very good. Is a fun little motor to drive, relatively cheap on the insurance depending on your circumstances and would recommend it for a relatively new driver.

Pros: Fuel efficiency, simplicity to drive, general appearance.

Cons: Basic everything - engine, interior, gadgets.

Smeeble's Punto — Ok car with good fuel economy but not a quick enough for me and certainly not enough room for passengers in the back...looks ok too but abit girly for me. Handling etc is what can be expected from a small 3door car, similar to a corsa etc but under steers on sharp corners at more then 30mph ish.

Pros: Little car that looks ok, drives ok and has good feul economy

Cons: Not exciting to drive and not much room for more then 2 people if you are tall.

Plagued With Faults, Monday Car, But If It Worked It Was Nice — Since the first week I had major problems with this car: gearbox, driveshafts, engine,... it was a complete disaster. Must say however it was a fairly nice car to drive handling-wise.

Pros: handling and levelled performance

Cons: about everything else
