Good Buy — reasonable performance: 1/4 mile is about 16 seconds. No major repairs needed. Good appearance. Bad city gas milage. Decently fun to drive. Good off-road. Good acceleration for 2.2L. Won a few races. Top speed: 94mph. Good small truck. I bought it for cheap and definitely got my money out of it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: reliable and capable.

Cons: milage

2000 S10 2wd 2.2l — The truck is a dog, the little 2.2 does not provide enough power. its a solid truck all vehicles get their noises with age but none have been unbearable. the design is solid and vary comfortable. and theres a large market for custom parts.

Pros: the avaliblity of parts

Cons: small engine, no power

Hard-to-beat Truck For The Price. — I have the ZR2 package on my truck and BF Goodrich all-terrain tires and would have to say this truck is pretty tuff. Have had no major problems other than a front wheel bearing, granted I do keep up on regular maintenance. It's not the best on wet pavement but on snow or mud is hard to beat, especially for the price. The motor has great torque and pretty decent power for a truck this size. Wish it was a little easier to add substantial bolt- on power but that is asking allot. The biggest downfall would have to be the seats and the turning radius, but when in snow or mud, with enough room, put your foot in it and that problem is gone (forgot to mention the handles on everything like to break). Overall one my favorite vehicles I have owned.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Good handling very capable rig for a small truck

Cons: Still want more power (like a small block v-8)

If You Don't Have To Contend With Snow I Would Highly Recommend The S10. If You Do Have Snow Well — normally i would never buy a 2x4 truck because of the snow and traction. but now that i live in florida i don't have to worry about that. i got my truck with only 28k miles on it and as i write i just broke 32k on the odometer. i really love this truck. it is well built, has lots of power for what i use it for as a daily driver. the interior is well placed, easy to use and has all functions easily within reach. i did some upgrades to make the truck look nice and to put my personal touch on it. there are lots of accessories to choose from for the s10 from plenty of dealers. you should not have a problem getting what you want and installed too. i really love my lil s10 and highly recommend them as a mini truck.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: solid well designed truck, great on gas and can be made into a head turner

Cons: no exterior temperature

Bagged S10 — Love it.So much aftermarket accessories for this truck. Can look different every year if you wanted it to. It gets good gas mileage. There's parts available everywhere. Just look at mine as an example what you can do from lowering it to lifting it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Look at it

Cons: n/a

My Chevy — Beautiful truck. It drives really well, nice and smooth, and has a fair amount of power. Yet there is still room for improvement, with a decent number of aftermarket options. The truck literally drinks gas though, and probably will shred my tires, but its all part of owning a S-10

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Awesome

Cons: Gas guzzler

Truck — What can I say? every time i drive one of my other cars, I love this truck more and more. It's a staple of liability. I love being able to get in it, turn the key and not worry about "not making it"

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable

Cons: Not very sharp or fast
