What I Think About Olga — I always loved Porsches but this one has surpassed all my expectations. It is comfortable, tight, fast, beautiful, and absolutely classic. Many sports cars are difficult to drive due to poor visibility to the rear and they are hard to drive in traffic. Not this car. It's so easy to drive everywhere. I've had it in horrible rush hour traffic in L.A. to the most open road you can imagine with equal pleasure. I've had it on the track at 150MPH where it felt as stable as 70MPH on the freeway. 4 years of ownership has not diminished my love of this car. Oh yes, her name is Olga.

    Pros: It's beautiful!

Cons: Modestly more expensive to maintain.

Porsche 911 Carrera (1999) — The looks, reliably, how the Tiptronic transmission is truly dual-use, and fun. I also like the acceleration and classic, legendary looks. This is a serious car that's very drivable. It will be very collectible in ten years. Porsche dealers already have a waiting list for C-4s. Better get on it as only 7,000 will be built this year.

    Pros: everything

    Cons: nothing

Porsche 911 Carrera 4 — A great everyday driver, will out perform pretty anything out there, can out corner everything. The 4 wheel drive system + the PSM is fool proof, just point the steering wheel and floor the gas. No wonder all the car magazines said this was the best handling car in the world. Still gets 21 MPG and toyota level maintenance cost. The best dollar per bang car I have ever owned in my life. But that darn thing is ugly, no character, and looks like all the Japanese car on the road.

Pros: Low cost of ownership, great performance for the dollar

    Cons: Damn ugly

Porsche - There Is No Substitute — Great speed and awesome handling. Great looking car with the top up and tremendous with the top down. Ooooo ya! The car is so good the Germans even drive it in the winter months. Have to admit - it did touch snow and was great since the engine is ove the drive wheels.

    Pros: Speed

    Cons: PArt prices

1999 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 (996) — The porsche 911 is a wonderful car, able to blend practicality and performance into one user-friendlt package. The steering is unbelievably communicative and the suspension provides ample feedback without sacrificing confort. The flat six, while docile around town, revs up without hesitation or jerkiness.

Pros: best performance car I've ever owned

Cons: Want to drive it all the time

1999 Carrera Coupe Was Impressive To A 16yr Old — It had the carbon fiber interior package, aero package, and 18in turbo wheels. The car handled excellent and the 296hp felt like about 350hp.

Pros: great handling, plenty of power, very good looking

Cons: black was hard to keep clean.....

More Looks Than Goes — The "there is no substitute" for a Porsche is completely overrated. The car performs...but it can perform better.

    Pros: Looks...

Cons: Could use more power and less UNDERsteer

Awesome. Everyone Should At Least Drive One For A Day — Power, Prestige and Precision ! Just drive an AWD Cabriolet n u too will be hooked. Oh, n leave the tiptronic at the dealership, otherwise maybe you should be looking at a Prius. Sorry if I sound a little biased, but it really has been a pleasure driving this 911. I have the hardest time putting it in the garage.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Everything you'd expect

    Cons: Can't think of any

The Porsche 911 Cab Is Perfect For Getting To And From Work. — This Porsche is my daily driver and has never been on the track. It doesn't require a lot of maintenance but I have had to repair a few of the gadgets. This is most likely because of the age of the vehicle. I upgraded the stereo to a Kenwood touchscreen navigation unit. The exterior is purple (vesuvio metallic) and the interior is black. I have the hard top which only stays on during the winter as driving with the top down is so much fun! This 911 drives like a dream! When I want to accelerate I push down on the gas pedal. It doesn't hesitate in the least almost as if it wants to go faster! I very rarely drive over the speed limit posted but do enjoy getting from 0 to the speed limit as quickly as I want to. The handling is perfect for a car this size and the brakes are heavy enough to assist as needed. I have owned several sports cars and this one has been my favorite in every single way.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's a Stuttgart Porsche! It is never hesitant and is more than fun with the top up or down.

Cons: The interior is small and the rear seats are all but useless. It is okay to run to town with the kids in the back seat but forget about the weekend getaway (unless its just the two of you) as they are just too uncomfortable.
