99 Grand Prix — good overall verry reliable. always enjoyed driving it, would be better as a stick shift. not too bad fuel economy for what it is. wish it had more horsepower than it did. the gtp model is a lot better and more fun to drive due to the fact it has a supercharger

Pros: good looks verry reliable engine

Cons: wheel bearing go easily

Awesome Car! — awesome car! first car i ever own but not driven and it drives like a champion. breaking could use some work and lighting sucks! plastic intake needs to be replaced with an aluminum intake! minor little things here and there r wrong but over all its an amazing car that i lve to drive

Pros: steering, suspension, engine noise, comfort, speed, stereo

Cons: brakes, lights

Grand Prix Gtp — Goes like stink... it sucks that it needs super fuel....especially with the price of gas. Quality is what you would expect from a domestic built car...We love the heads up display... great feature. It was a great car to play around with(14.3 sec in the 1/4 mile) when we bought it and now we have kids and our 3 year old loves the speed!

Pros: Performance, Handling

Cons: Gas price

1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Gtp 3800 Series V6 Supercharged — Pretty decent acceleration and braking, handles well. Has traction control. No repairs in the 50,000 miles ive put on it I love the way it looks haha Gets like 27 mpg on the highway, but requires Premium gas. Pretty fun to drive. Keeps up with most other cars that my friends own.

Pros: acceleration, handling, interior

Cons: audio system needs upgraded

Good Times Rollin — The power coming off the line is outstanding for its class. No car, dollar for dollar can come close for performance. It's decent on gas and it runs for ever. Every time you get behind the wheel you get a rush to hit the gas and it just keeps on going faster!

Pros: no one see's it coming!

Cons: tickets are easily acquired

My Grand Prix Gtp — I like the fact that its supercharged and very quick, also has alot of potential for future upgrades to create more power. I hate the fact that it costs alot of money to do so. The acceleration is incredible whether your into the boost or not. Has 4 wheel independant suspension and even though my car is lowered it still has a great ride. The car also comes with 4 wheel disc brakes for great stopping power. The cost of gas is quite high though since i need to run as high as octane as possible. The highest i can find in my area is 94 octance so it costs a good $70 to fill up without overfill because of today's gas prices. Thankfully i live in town so i only need about $20 a week in gas if that. Overall my car is very fun to drive and i would recommend it to many people if they want a nice starter car to learn how to modify and get more performance out of it. Many people wouldn't think my Grand Prix is very fast but infact it is the fast Supercharged grocery getter car i have ever owned.

Pros: Good performance, very fast. Awesome breaking power

Cons: Costs way to much money mod the car

A Tad Above Mediocre. So It Gets The Job Done — Its a cookie cutter GM W-body. 3800 V6, Front Wheel Drive, Auto Transmission ONLY, and Heavy. It does manage to be a pretty good daily driver though. It has good acceleration, and handling for such a heavy car and has plenty of space for your stuff. Gas mileage on mine is pretty woeful at 20 MPG but thats becasue the transmission no longer will shift into overdrive.

Pros: Decent acceleration, good exhaust tone, roomy, fairly responsive handling, and pretty good looking for a 2 door on a sedan platform.

Cons: Heavy, Front Wheel Drive, Automatic Trans, 20 MPG, Not easy on tires

Supercharged....nuff Said — The performance speaks for itself in the word supercharged. With 240 horsepower and a performance shift option, this car SCREAMS down the road. The transmission is the 4T65e and ive never had a problem with it. The braking is good but pontiac needs to figure out the brake dust issue (on all pontiacs not just mine). The handling is great. The build quality is great. I built it and so far (knock on wood) nothing major has happened to the car. The exterior is very aggressive. My car has the factory 40th anniversary Ram Air hood on it. The interior is amazing. All leather with power and heated drivers seat, floor shift, heads up display, and a great stereo. The stereo is completely factory with 8 speaker Bose system with a factory amp in the trunk. The cost of ownership isnt that bad. Its getting about 26.4 mpg with the supercharger belt off. Yes the belt is off. My dad said not a chance. Plus I get to run Regular gas in my car. Maintenance is easy and affordable as well. Fun? Um yeah this car is a blast.

Pros: Performance, stereo, interior, fun

Cons: 110 speedometer, dad wont let me drive with belt on

1999 Gtp — Overall, with the GTP, there was very little to be done to it, other than maintenance. For the leaky intake manifold gaskets, was all warranty as was the leaky steering rack. It's not the fastest car on the road, or the most performance based, but for a family car, definitely one that would be at the top of my list.

Pros: low maintenance

Cons: heavy

Why I Think This Car Is Amazing — I love the acceleration and responsive handling. I love the whine of the supercharger and the sensation of of your head sinking into the upholstery! this car is a been pretty reliable vehicle. The car itself is a true thing of beauty. Flared fenders and aggressive body kit. The car got 30 mpg on the highway which is unheard of in a high performance car.

Pros: fun handling, good accellaration, just plain fun for the money

Cons: a little bit moody, expensive to repair
