Expedition — it pretty quick for 7600lB vehicle. the acceleration is wat it is. the top speed sux. the best part is that there is no exhaust so its loud and wen it kicks down into first at 30mph the sound is awesome. but the gas mileage sux.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: big and comfy

Cons: gas mileage

I Would Drive This Truck Because Its Very Affordable. — This Truck Is Very Roomy. I do not like that it takes a long time to pick up because its heavy. It is very fun when you have a lot op people on the SUV. It is very efficient on the gas although its a V8. I do regular tune-up so it helps.

Pros: It has a lot of foom

Cons: Fords are known to have bad transmissions or engines.

My Big Maroon Baby, — I love the air suspension, gives it a real smooth ride, and it has a turn radius like none other. Gas mileage is terrible, but it is powerful and comfortable. It is a great car to drive. I hope the car sticks around for many years to come, it has not failed me yet.

Pros: Powerful, great turn radius, leather seats.

Cons: Gas consumption

Expedition - 1999 Red Eddie Bauer 4wd — Love the space and the power, the heated seats for winter and the great color and style of the Eddie Bauer. We bought this one 9 years old with less that 90k and it's just like a new one to us and we love it. It has been a bit of a gas eater, but well worth the $4000 we paid for it.

Pros: Everything else

Cons: Gas consumption

Good Quality, Fun To Drive, And Very Big Suv — The ford expedition is a fun SUV to drive. It is so high off the ground that I can see the roof of an explorer. Performance wise it is very good. I haven't had to do much work on it. It is incredibly easy to do oil changes on. My expedition has the eddie bauer trim package ( leather seats , sunroof and 6cd changer in the armrest.) MPG really stink , it only gets about 13, but it is very safe and makes driving in winter a breeze. The only real issue I have had with the expedition is the rough shift . When the engine RPMs are high the gear shifts feel vaguely like being kicked by a mule; but that problem can be avoided by relatively slow acceleration.

Pros: Durability , Ride quality , Interior comfort, ease of repair,

Cons: back seat is a bit of a pain to get out, shifts very rough. bad gas mileage

The Expo — Performance - Acceleration is Decent for the size, braking is good, handles well. Built well- though did need a transmission rebuild at 150,000 miles. Cost or Ownership- Horrible gas millage 12.9 with new exhaust and cold air intake. The car is fun to drive especially off road! If your looking for a family car and a toy this is it!

Pros: Fun big family car

Cons: not the fastest or strongest

Great Family Ride For Those Of Us Who Don't Like Minivans — This is the 2nd one I've had and I really enjoy driving something big and powerful. The ease of getting the family in and out is also great and they all have room.

Pros: Roomy, Big, Comfortable

Cons: Likes gas

This Thing Is Like A Tank, The Only Bad Thing To This Is The Gas Milage. — heavy duty vehicle, hit anything and don't worry bout it, I love this thing, it drives and rides like a school bus.

Pros: ride quality, acceleration/ 5.4L only, 4.6 is sluggish

Cons: gas milage

Great Vehicle! — The expedition is a great vehicle. It is a great handler, hauler, and driver. It handles any weather conditions, can always be relied on to start, and is well recognized. Easily hauls a family or car of friends, or you can put down the second row, take out the third row, and you have a 6'6" truck bed for any needs. Very versatile, functional vehicle. Only down side to me is gas mileage. Note: This truck took its last trip back in September. Heading south on HWY 41 in Parke County Indiana, it hydroplaned through a curve and rolled twice. Accident was due to adverse weather conditions and thus does not change my opinion on the quality of this vehicle.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Smooth ride, great for all weather, lots of power, looks great, comfortable seats, very safe and reliable

Cons: Gas mileage is only about 10-11 in town and 14-15 highway, very large
