Russ' Red Rocket — I love this car. It is my 2nd E36 BMW. My third will be the E46 M3 sedan. It drives great in all weather, save ice/snow. RWD does not perform well in those conditions. But, where I live, we deal with snow/ice none too often. Although just under 200hp, the very torquey engine leaps the car off the line and makes for very enjoyable & spirited driving.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sport suspension, strong engine, reliability, quickness, interior wood trim, fold-down rear seats allow for huge increase in cargo, head-turning good looks.

Cons: Getting on in years, repair costs, driving in snow/ice, lack of heated seats.

If You Have The Money.... — Solid Steering, Leather, Steering wheel slightly squeaky - may need WD-40, Suspension not too hard or too soft, Nice solid acceleration, brakes could have higher hp, still needs many mods; Racing cam, free flow exhaust, CAI, Engine Balancing, Racing Chip, new diff, turbo, intercooler

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: You don't know how many people have complimented me on the car

Cons: Electrical is a B#tch
