Dturbo! — DTurbo, got amazing fuel econemy. Well trimmed inside and good outside features. Acceleration a bit sluggish off the line, but good performance otherwise. the car has Brilliant Seats and really good all around sound.I've had a small rattle come up since I've owned it but otherwise it seems in mint condition

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It's Gold

Cons: It's got a loud engine.

It Used To Be The Best, But 11 Years On The Road Has Take Some Of The Fun... — The 306 GTI was (and is ) now off the best in the GTI-class. Back in 98 was 6 gears not normal and the preformance was in the top 3 off the GTI's. Acceleration is great, handling is great! comfort is not too bad of a GTI. The fun factor is 9.5 out of 10.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The preformance

Cons: Nothing!

The French Can Do Handling...but Thats About It :) — I've got the GTI6 variant of the 306. Great handling and responsive steering, and quite alot of torque from the 2litre engine. However the building quality is not the greatest. In the 5 years or so of ownership, ive had to replace the clutch, clutch cables, engine mounts, timing belts, as well as alot of smaller little niggles (it is french after all)

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: very fun handling

Cons: build quality

306 Dturbo — DTurbo easily tuned to give good increase it torque and BHP, Excellent balanced handling Rear suspension can be troublesome and awkward to lower and uprate. Huge range of styling accessories available plus many higher spec parts are interchangeable such as GTI6 brakes suspension etc. Build quality isn't the best with many owners reporting electrical faults!

Pros: Pros: Insurance group 6, Excellent handling, Sub 10sec 0>60 from a good stage 1 tune

Cons: Cons: Mechanical injection noisier than modern common rail technology, Electrical faults

Peugeot 306 Rallye 2.0 16v — Powered by the same 2.0 16v as the GTi6, it goes like stink and sounds amazing, the standard 6 speed gearbox is superbly matched to the engine. 283mm discs fill the standard 15" wheels and provide ample stopping power. The classic Peugeot suspension setup gives unbeatable handling. Coming from Peugeot's latest 90s peak in design, it looks great even 10 years after it left the factory. The bumpers and skirts are close to the ground giving the car a sporty stance. The brilliant Bianca White paintwork is eyecatching and little details such as the decals to replace the badges and the twin fuel caps make the car stand out. Inside the dashboard is a little drab and the quality of materials used is typical of a mass produced inexpensive car like the 306, but it does offer incredibly supportive seats and a comfortable driving position. Build quality is not something the French are known for and this can be seen by the panel gaps around the car not being perfect, there are a few rattles from the cabin, but on the whole it seems well put together and has needed very few repairs. It can be thirsty on fuel at times, the induction growl becomes addictive and when out for a spirited drive it can drop as low as 15mpg, but once cruising on the motorway in 6th gear, this improves considerably to around 35mpg. It's a very distinctive car which is always grabbing peoples attention and very easy to live with day to day, but can transform into a sublime weekend toy given the right stretch of road.

Pros: Awesome Peugeot handling, strong engine, good looks

Cons: Little bit thirsty, could be put together slightly better

Blarg — I did like my pug, especially as I had given it Alloys and a spoiler. Also a nice noisey exhaust, did have the funds to get much done under the hood though! Nice car, I enjoyed it, many a memory untill it got towed away as I didn't tax it and it got crushed! Lame!

Pros: Good Looking, good drive

Cons: Bit flimsy!

Good Overall Car — Performance - Fantastic acceleration, Good Braking, Brilliant handling. Build Quality - Good build, not needed any repairs. Appearance - Nice appearance, not yet a head turner but that will be changed on both interior and exterior. Cost - mileage is great, thank god because its a diesel. Hasnt needed any real maintenance apart from the usual which doesnt cost anything. Fun factor - Best car I have ever driven. It screams with laughter when you throw it into a corner, it roars when you put your foot to the floor and it grips the floor as tight as a baby with a teddy bear (which is tight). Recommended to anyone. Reliable for new drivers and fun for experienced

Pros: Everything

Cons: Cost of diesel

My D-tractor — Smooth euro lines, pretty much bullet proof engine but hard to pin point boost leaks (i have one but cant find it HAHA). Its had a brief magazine feature and i have spent quite abit of money on it and it handles superb. Reasonable performance for a 10 year old diesel turbo and also has potential to play with the engine but still wont make it super fast. Also the colour is superb always looks sparkling (but i do wash it about 4 times a week) and is never short of a few looks when im driving about (possibly cos i drive like a prick with my music blasting)

Pros: Bullet Proof Engines and Good Looks

Cons: ITS FRENCH!!!!!
