Fast — Great car if you are a grease monkey and like the feeling of walking all over ricers. Has great acceleration and power. Can break any speed limit in 3rd. Have to have good knowledge about the mechanical workings of this car in order to keep it running to it's full potental.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fast

Cons: Fast

Great Fast Car And Can Be Modded And Made Fast With Little Money. — car was really nice for a 98. awd was great in winter and took anything off the line. stock wise the car had great response, but also had boost drop towards redline. with few mods and money you can unleash alot of hidden power. crankwallk where a big problem with these model DSM, BUT i never experienced crankwalk with both my dsms. timing belt, water pump and oil pump are highly recommened to be done every 60K miles.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: awd sporty and year round car...

Cons: 60k maintenance can be very pricey. do it yourself.

Dissapointment — Fun to drive but only if you know HOW TO DRIVE. Engine and turbo are dying and various instruments and gauges have already "eclipsed" the engine and turbo to that destination. The car is quick if the turbo decides to fire and upon my last installment of gas in this vehicle i was not pleased to find out that in town she was getting 12.6 miles to the gallon on a four cylinder.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: agressive handling, quick

Cons: upkeep cost, poor build quality, suprisingly low fuel mileage

My '98 Eclipse Gs-t — Acceleration is great compared to cars weight, braking is good, handles like a champ No major repairs needed yet but soon, rattles when cold inside Looks great outside, real leather inside 25 city 30ish highway I love driving this car!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It has great acceleration, braking, and amazing handling, no repairs yet, looks good inside-out, great gas-mileage, easy maitenece if kept up, and extremely fun to drive

Cons: it has squeaks and rattles inside (what 2g doesnt?), i do have to re-thread the head and replace a few gaskets but thats just to up-keep it  =)

Greatest Car In The Whole While World — I love it, its taken quite a beating, I race it all the time everywhere and not a glitch. It wasnt that expensive and I havent had any repairs beyond oil change. It picks up a bunch of girls. Love it

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The engine

Cons: nothing

98 Eclipse — It was fast, lost one race out of many. Needed a lot of repairs but even if I sell it, I'd get one again. Suspension isn't good either but handling is good. Exterior looks great but interior is cramped for more than two people.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fast,

Cons: Breaks down, a lot.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: great gas mileage

Cons: everyone wants to race you

Not Me — slow, boring, embarassing, annoying, no bolt-on potential unless you wanna stick NOS on it and blow it up for fun. But, its been reliable and its small enough to fit in tight parallel parking spots.... totally whip-able. My little tank.

Pros: good on gas

Cons: slow as molasses

Its A Nice Car, I Like It. — The cars alright. It has a lot of potential and mitsubishi engines are really reliable. The clutch is really nice on this car and I'd recommend throwing a short shifter in it. Its kind of on the small side, you can put two people in the back but not comfortably. The engine bay is set up real simple too, perfect if you're looking to do work to it. I like driving it and the car moves if you want it too. Its actually really good on gas and overall fun to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: You should drive it.

Cons: Not a lot of people fit in this car, but sometimes thats a good thing
