There's Better, But This Is Quite A Functional Car, If You're Lucky — A so so car. Good absorption of the road, but lets you roll around corners, more like an SUV. Engine is extremely gruffy at low revs (below 1800), and surprisingly smooth all the way to the red line. The gruffy engine buzzes your hands with negative feedback on the steering column, and transmits some through the throttle pedal. it's also amplified by the rattling trim. Transmission is also quite surprisingly decent. Not the fastest shifter, but pretty quick and smooth. Torquey engine, good in a straight line and good for overtaking. Very confident through cross winds and on poor surfaces. Gives decent gas milage, but loses power when the fueld guage is half full, requiring extra throttling. Interior is a pretty normal plae to be, but it's cosy. Everything is functional, and quite practical. Storage space is ample, and nothing seems too cheap. In summary, so so performance and build quality. But looks decent, is safe and confident. Gas milage is pretty good, especially on the highway, but if you get a bad one, repairs and parts are quite expensive. Not fun to drive, but cool enough to be driven around in.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Cheap to buy 2nd hand, cosy interior, confident road handler, and decently safe for its age.

Cons: Expensive repairds, lacks fun driving experience, so so build quality.

Holden Vectra 1998 (cd 2.0l) — fantastic front wheel drive 4 cylinder, 4 door sedan, plenty of power, speedo goes up to 260, and the 5 speed manual is like silk! great economy from the 2.0L (got 900k's) to a tank on the highway once)and heaps of room, for the family or friends, big boot, and the stock sound system isnt too shabby either, the luxury cd model comes fully equipped TC, Cruise Control, ABS, Air bags, E. Windows, E. Mirrors, loved the car to death before a speeding 4x4 wrote it off for me, cheap as chips to buy now days aswell, can pick a really good one up for an easy 10k, (aussie dollars) fun as all go get out to drive, loves to be thrown into corners and quite easy to park

Pros: grip, power, options, price, economy, drivability, styling

Cons: cost of parts, scarcity of modified or upgraded parts, FWD
