Awesome!!! — 5 speed manual, 4 cylinder engine. Low maintenance. Terrible acceleration, has a tough time making it up hills. Seatbelt stopped working. Lights in dash went out. One of the meters are screwed up. Brake lights don't work. Tire went flat, so I had to replace the front ones. I put Rain-X on my windshield, rain practically flies off my windshield now. I frequently buy windshield wipers because I always buy the cheapest ones. I should invest in more expensive windshield wipers next time. The truck takes relatively wide turns. Terrible traction. Needs an oil change. Has driven almost one hundrend and fifty thousand miles. Her end lies just beyond the horizon.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It will get you from point A to point B.

Cons: Read above.

Pros: its a truck! and AMERICAN

Cons: gas is kinda bad

Take It If It's Given To You - Then Sell It. — 3.0 V6 - underpowered and a gas hog Suspension - what suspension... Brakes - use the 2 minute rule Power steering - dubbed 'the howling' Interior - not bad Noise - Say what? Auto parts stores will love ya! They look good sitting still...in the front yard...with weeds around it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: They can be picked up cheap.

Cons: They can be picked up cheap.

Its A Good Beginners Car — my truck needs to be repaired cause it has a dent in the hood from my basketball hoop. it gets good gas mileage and it is a great beginners car cause it has better handling than most cars or trucks.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: its easy to drive

Cons: its a ford

1998 Ford Ranger — I love this little truck. I have only owned for a month now and drive it almost more than I do my Mustang. It is a 2.5cy I4 with a 4 speed with over drive. It has a large amount of torque. The only issue I am having with it is the exhaust rattles because there is a mount broke. Other than that this car is extremely fun to drive, and is well built.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: A lot of torque, fun to drive, does truck things well.

Cons: None at the moment

Ol' Red — The braking very good, not many repairs motor wise gas mileage is fairly good since it's from 1998 and it's just a good truck to drive. The handling is good but don't go around a curb going 60 or nothing like that. the acceleration is not the greatest but hey it's only a 290.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The Stereo

Cons: the acceleration and speed limit

Ford Ranger Four Cylinder — This truck barely counts as a truck. It is slow with a four cylinder and rides way to low as a 2 wheel drive. However it does get decent gas mileage. it has held up pretty well considering its age and use. It is somewhat fun to drive

Pros: nice appearance and decent fuel economy

Cons: lack of power

1998 Ford Ranger — The fury of the 1998 Ford 3.0L engine is not to be overestimated. At full throttle, it sounds as if you're going 100 m.p.h. - however that is far from the truth. On the plus side, I can't seem to kill it.

Pros: Can't kill it.

Cons: Slow as molasses.
