It's Okay. — Not horrible, not wonderful, it just exists. Performance-wise it is great but otherwise it isn't. The exterior might be nice but it doesn't matter because the thing has some major reliability issues.

    Pros: looks, suspension (performance-wise), engine

    Cons: MPG, ride, reliablity

This Car Was Our 4th Ford Vehicle And We Had Another Explorer After This One. — In all these years, my husband maintained the car regularly and we never had any issues. Very good reliable car. Bought another Explorer which made it our 4th, because we loved the car that much. Now that my husband passed away, I am trying to get a smaller SUV.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: I have had this car going on 14 years and it still runs like a champ.

Cons: It is a little worn but it still looks good being 14 years old.

Loved this SUV. In fact, I'm getting another one (2014 or 2015)! Preferred to drive it over our second car, which is a sporty and fun-to-drive 300Z. Leather and 4WD a big plus but not "must haves". Li... Read More
