Runs Good Looks Bad — i like that the way it runs. it will keep up with the grand prix gtp's and the bonneville ssei's (supercharged) and its just a 2.5 v6. but it is beat up alot. when people see it they think it should be in a junk yard somewhere.

Pros: better gas mileage than my pickup.

Cons: it looks like crap.

1998 Chrysler Sebring Convt. — My baby is awesome. It has been wonderful to me since I first got my license! She has needed a new ignition...my bad...too many keys. There is nothing like driving a drop top and letting the wind blow through your hair and having the system cranked up. It is silver with black leather interior and is a sweet ride. Everyone looks at you and all your friends want a ride. The gas mileage is ok and it is a V6. She just needs to be maintained well...just like all cars

Pros: Everything!!

Cons: The leather seats are way to hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter!

Sebring Jxi — Handles like its on rails, pretty quick. This car is awesome in the summer. I can put the top down baby, and I have a pretty loud system (bump in the trunk). Gets about 20 miles to the gallon. The only downfall is the dear dent in the driver side fender.

Pros: Good looking, Peppy

Cons: Bad brakes

Good Car Overall, Parts A Little Costly When It Needs Repaired — car runs and drives great, the body in general is showing alot of age a lot quicker than it should. The door stops have been replaced twice and the top motor once. The timing belt just gave up at 99,128 miles

Wish The Design Was More Intuitive When It Comes To Repair Work — The 1998 Chrysler Sebring convertible, unlike its 1998 Sebring hardtop brothers, is a Mitsubishi-engined Dodge Stratus/Chrysler Cirrus hybrid. The vehicle was designed to be a convertible from the ground up. Stronger frame bracing, a streamlined design, and excellent handling come together to create a car that really hugs the road as well as provides many years of trouble-free driving to its lucky owner.

Miles Driven per Year:20,000

Pros: Low overall cost of ownership so far.  Some minor electrical problems which Chrysler is known for.  Excellent fuel economy averaging as high as 30mpg on highway.

Cons: Maintenance for the DIY'er is difficult at best.  Spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor are hidden beneath the intake manifold plenum.  Belts are hard to reach.  Looking at or replacing the battery requires removal of the driver's side front wheel to access a hidden compartment where the battery lives.  This car is an owner/operator/mechanic's nightmare!

Fun Relitivly Low Cost Convertable. —

I purchased this car in 2000 with 60K and has been a rock solid reliable for the last 14 years. Luckily (or unluckily as there is not one good mechanic in the Chicago metro area and was forced to learn everything to fix cars) I do almost to all my own maintenance (and now learning body work as the repair from my last accident was botched by Feeny Chrysler in Elgin.) Beyond the every 6 month oil change I've had to: Replace the passenger side front wheel bearing (4X); Replace the driver side front wheel bearing.; Replace the full front suspension. ; Rebuild the overhead valve train and replace the Spark plugs and wires(around 100K).; Replace the Air Conditioning Compressor and dryer. Last summer (7/14) at auto-zone Reno, NV; New breaks every 25K; Three sets of tires (and ready for the forth); Two batteries; Alternator; I plan on doing a full bare metal overhaul to the car now and looking for a 97-00 v6 2.5 as parts car in the Chicago land area. Note: Some of the replacement parts are a result of how hard I drive her (she's a sports car and I demand that performance out of her.)

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: OK gas mileage.
Good handling.
Fun to drive.
Convertible.

Cons: Power, even with the V6 she is a bit weak in the knees.
Parts! Mopar parts are over priced and after market parts suck.  example: the autozone thermostat ($13) needs to be replaced annually.  The Mopar  thermostat is $53 and only lasts ~4 years.

Add Front Bumper Skin & It's Great — I Love the mileage & Power from this little 2.4 V6 power plant. Put the top down & go Cruising. Plenty trunk space for all your camping gear. Maintenance cost is very low change the oil every 3000 mi coolant every 3 years Battery Brakes belts inside & out recently done. This car has a Lot of Pep Stops perfect even in a Panic stop, the ABS Really saves lives And with the performance tires you Can't hardly get them to slip even in wet weather. Front wheel drive Plows through snow like it isn't there.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Always Maintained on regular service intervals

Cons: Just got hit by a Texter driver
