Regal, King Of Elderly Sports Cars. — Quick car, could do burnouts with the traction control off. Grandpa image though. Fast, and you have no idea till you look at the speedometer. Overall a quality car for your first vehicle. Had a good deal of fun racing it against accords and winning due to the large v6 engine.

Pros: quck, sporty

Cons: People might think you eat prunes and wear depends.

A Total Sleeper, Refined Yet Fast Off The Line. — This car had excellent hp and decent fuel economy. I actually took this car to the drag strip and was beating hopped up Acuras. They were wondering what the heck I did to it. At the time, nothing it was completely stock. After that, I put a smaller diameter SC pulley to up the boost.

Pros: Very clean lines and design.  No noise or detractions.  Should have been
the next GSX Grand National

Cons: A little heavy for my tastes, very quiet interior comes with weight.
Although the car is lighter than its Pontiac sibling.

It's What God Has Given Me. — Over all nice car. You have to keep in mind, that in 1998, this was the sporty sedan Regal built. If you look at it close, it has more of an agressive, youthful stance to it than the Century or LeSaber or Park Avenue. It definently fits a classy stature and makes an impression even for its age.

Pros: Easy interior features to understand.

Cons: Even with the most conservative engine, it is about a 21-23.5 mpg car.

Riding In Luxury — This car was awesome. It was my first car to have and it was so nice to own. There was a lot of power behind this engine. The car included Moonroof, leather seats, CD player, and it had a 3800 V6. Don't ever let anyone tell you a buick can't move. Ran it up to 158,000 miles and was still going strong.

Pros: Power and luxury liner

Cons: after 130,000 miles I had to put a lot of money into it.

The Best 90's Era Gm Sedan —

This is a very dependable car and safe as long as you understand how to drive a supercharged front wheel drive car. This car is extremely responsive and is forgiving to a point. If you have ever driven a sports car and you understand how quick a response you get with the steering then you will do fine in this car. Do not buy this car from a young man, unless you know your cars. It will have more than likely been beat to death, drag racing and probably poorly modified as most kids don't know what they are doing. Look for any Buick that has been owned by an older person and you are buying a well maintained car and that's where I buy all my cars, from the elderly who just can't drive anymore and I make it a practice to always pay them more than what either they are asking or what the blue book says, know matter what. And why you might ask? For a couple of reasons. One being, most of the time they under price their car not realizing that all those timely maintenance calls in my opinion add to the value and I know that they are giving up their freedom because of their age and that's a hard thing to do as I have an elderly mother who can't drive anymore or very little that owns a 2001 Century with 12,000 miles on it. So, I keep it well maintained even though it's not driven much. Look around next time your out and about and look at the Buick's going by. All older folks, could they all be wrong? Nope, they do their home work. And so do I. P.S. This car is not for SALE!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Power, agility, looks, dependable and safety

Cons: Should use 91 plus octane but can use less but the PCM will adjust to reduce knock retard or pinging and you will lose power and possibly fouled fuel injectors if not maintained properly
