Love This Car. — Fun to drive, Economic, Durable... Interior is pleasing to the eye and for the most part efficient. Haven't had many problems with it yet, other than stuff that generally goes out on older cars anyways. Got mine for $2k, been driving it for two years. Haven't spent more than $200 on repairs, though the transmission is starting to go. But at 200k miles, its expected. Manual is the best. Love this car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Good, cheap, general-use vehicle

Cons: Cup holders don't work for anything bigger than cans.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: power and sporty

Cons: older models quality not as good as newer.

Love/hate Relationship, Love Driving It, Hate Fixing It. — Amazing handling, fun to drive, fuel efficient, BUT THE GREMLINS are endless! US version was made in Mexico, not Wolfsburg, so the electrical demons never give up. Issues are obnoxious to chase down, but make you feel like a man if you win. IF.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun, cheap, looks awesome. Girls dig it too.

Cons: THE GREMLINS

Super — Well it is a family car, the driving experience is awesum especially if you have the 2L exec but not a recommended car for a youngster. The Jetta has a lot of space for some sound and kewl for driving those long miles.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Space for sound,

Cons: Big, Slow, Family Car

Vdub — I have the 2.slow engine so although tourque is great in first gear, theres no top end power even though it does go over 130mph. As for build quality its very good for the year, however that years engine is prone to problims along with the power windows stop working, on the plus side all windows are one touch down. appearance is good if you like the box style which i do, interior is nice, mines not leather with bose system but still good, front seats are a tad uncumfy. Gas is cheap repairs are rediculouse expensive at VW dealers. Fun factor, i love it and so do my friends!

Pros: Mine has heated seats!

Cons: Repairing it is very expensive

2nd Jetta — Handling was great. I miss my stick shift. You were one with the road in that car. It was black (hot in the summer) and had a great stereo system. The car rocked. Handled well in its first, only, and last wreck - kept me safe for sure.

Pros: It drove wonderfully for 130,000 miles

Cons: The underpinning should have been all stainless steel.

Vw Jetta, Mk3 — Two of the power windows and died. VW used a air system to power all of the locks and to regulate the cruse control. With that, my cruse control hardly ever works. However this Jetta does get great gas mileage!

Pros: Although it's 11 years old, it's still fun to drive

Cons: Poor design on the 'air-system'

Jetta — the jetta with the 2.0 motor is a blast for the economical driver looking for a cheap reliable car with great gas miliage. the extiror styling of the vehicle is very smooth and clean, hardly needing anything more than some wheels and fenderwork to get instant gratification. Interior is simple without alot of bells and whistles but lovley none the less. mantiance is rather pricy depending on what is faulty but if it is kept up on can last way over the 250,xxx mark. there are TONS of aftermarket parts around and with the right push can be a great car for anyone, a total blast to drive. ive personally have had nothing other but vw's

Pros: everything

Cons: the trans
