Grand Prix Gt Review By Mike — acceleration is good, brakes are great, handling is good even with a worn out suspension. it has a little squeak or two in the interior, nothing major, no major repairs. love the exterior styling, interior is pretty decent too. gas mileage is not bad at all for a 3.8L V6 (+ 18-city, +29- highway). i love my car and i would never get rid of it, its been too good to me.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: i made it look the way it does and i think its hot.

Cons: nothing

If You Need A Dd You Can Expect 200,000 Miles And Comfort — Overall a nice car to drive around in. The performance for a touring car isn't bad at all. Nice push you in your seat torque. The fit and finish is to be expected from Pontiac . I find the cars styling to be very nice but it lacks without the stock rear spoiler. After 185,000 miles it still gets around 20mpg and runs like a champ. Regular maintenance and you can expect over 200,000. Many nice options available to suit any driver.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 200hp with leather and 10 cd changer all factory

Cons: Potential plenum/transmission problems with abuse

Great! — Love the performance! Especially from a 4 door V6! love the Wide stance that the grand prix beholds. So aggressive of a look sitting low to the ground. Love the acceleration where it just sets u back in your seat.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great looking car!

Cons: Squeak from the back deck lid

Meh — Decent car in terms of reliability, but not the most exciting to be behind the wheel of. The front wheel drive is good for rain/snow. Interior looks very bubbly and the exterior looks decent. Mine is the 3800 3.8l V6, so it averages about 16-18 mpg. Seats are very comfortable, including the back.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: good seating

Cons: bad mpg, squeaky suspension

Great Car Not So Great Quality. — GM 3800 sieres supercharged engines are a thing of beauty. But the build quality was horrible. the rocker panel rust out,on most all w bodies. the hud works but the sensor for daylight broke so my dash lights didn't work, and with a powerful front drive car transmission issues are expected. Despite all this i still love the cars. They performs amazing for a sedan and would beat quite a few mustangs with a pulley and down pipe. If it weren't for the rust I would not have sold it. I just couldn't bare putting money into a car physically falling apart.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: SUPERCHARGED

Cons: RUST

It Never Leaves Your Mind In Mint Condition It's Perfect — I got this car and the person didn't care for it all to well the performance is not as it should be however it very fun love the men looking at me. it's fun to be in. one thing you need to make sure is after 100k miles it needs a bit of up keep other then the things that are listed it's a great car for any age

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: nice, body, colors for paint are endless stream line body making it look nice

Cons: if you don't want the men/boys looking at you all the time along with the cops giving you speeding tickets then your set

Pretty Damn Sweet. — It has 240 horespower and 280 foot pounds of torque. Great on gas mileage. Premium fuel is all it take so more expensive. Leather on the inside. Custom sound system I did myself. Somewhat smooth ride. Super fast as well.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fast And luxary

Cons: Minor problems

1997 Pontiac Grand Prix Se — The Grand Prix SE is the 3.1 liter engine, the smallest of 3 options that Pontiac allows: 3.1, 3.8, and 3.8 Super Charged. Even though it is the smallest engine, it still packs quite a punch when you put the pedal down to the floor and the handling is not like any car I've driven. I have taken right angle turns at near 50mph and all the car does is give a little chirp with the wheel. These characteristics make my Grand Prix a dream to drive on the highway with little effort involved and when you want to have a little fun... you can do that too. Gas mileage has been better than I expected. I achieve an average of 28-29 mpg on highway driving. The front of the car looks nice and aggressive, but unfortunately on the '97 SE model, the rear doesn't come with a spoiler, which makes it look empty compared to the '98 models and beyond. At 160,000 miles and counting, the car has been a joy to have and if I can, I'd like to get a newer model when this one kicks the bucket.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great handling, performance and gas mileage

Cons: Appearance doesn't quite match up to later years

Love It, One Of The Best Vehicle I've Owned — it's supercharged!!!!! love when those mustangs pull along side.only complaint I have is the brakes, they could be alot better. the only maintenance out of the ordinary has been the replacement of the supercharger ideler pully, it froze up and threw the belt, just as a dodge neon rt pulled up

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: performance and appearance, it's Darth Vador Black

Cons: can't really think of one unless you have a problem with speeding tickets

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: fun to drive

Cons: not the fastest car ever
